The 'Canonica' apartment is the ideal place to discover the atmosphere of an intact historic village, rich in memories and discreet. The entrance to the 'Castle', the medieval historic center of Colle, is beyond a panoramic bridge and through the archway of the monumental Palazzo Campana; then, in the small urban fabric you will find a Cathedral, the Bastion of Sapìa, some medieval towers - including the famous one of Arnolfo di Cambio, the Bulwark - extended to dominate the lower city, the enchanting and silent alleys, but also an ancient tunnel to breathe the rarefied and evocative atmosphere of remote historical eras. Guest access The apartment, with all its amenities, will be at the complete disposal of guests for their own needs for a more comfortable stay. However, the rooms and furnishings must be respected and treated with care, in the commitment to return them in the same state and condition as at the beginning of the stay. The apartment, located in ZTL, can be reached by car (for luggage or expense loading/unloading) upon communication of the license plate number of the vehicle to the owner, who will directly obtain the transit permit. Private guest parking is free and about 500m from home. You can reach it, in part, through the historic center and, in part, with a pedestrian walkway including a driveway or alternatively a few steps. Other things to note The city of Colle is a fascinating and ideal site to discover the open and unique landscapes of the Alta Val d'Elsa - Casole d'Elsa, Radicondoli, San Gimignano, Poggibonsi - bordering Certaldo, Volterra, Chianti Senese and Fiorentino. Lapped by the Via Francigena, Colle di Val d'Elsa and its surroundings have an important and rich artistic heritage - civil and religious - scattered throughout the territory, consisting of ancient parish churches and small villages. Colle and its surroundings represent the starting point for excursions by car, bike or for walks in the countryside scenery, along the Elsa River Basin Park - with the start of the route about 2 km from the apartment - or to destinations of discreet but intense charm. The ancient tradition of crystal processing - Colle qualifies as the "Crystal City" - is explained in a fascinating way in the Crystal Museum, located in the lower part of the city.
