Romantic Barn with BBQ hut in rural village

In a rural village our 200 year old barn, situated in our courtyard, has exposed beams, original features, and you can use our amazing BBQ hut. The cottage has a fitted kitchen, sitting room, double bed with orthopedic mattress, TV/DVD, wifi, private patio & shared splash pool (18/5-17/9). Ideal for rural country walks, explore Montreuil sur Mer, Boulogne or Saint Omer. Sandy beaches are 1/2 hour away and we can offer suggestions for restaurants. We say, come as guests but leave as friends. The space A cosy romantic countryside retreat awaits whatever the season. In winter enjoy the amazing BBQ hut in our private garden, wrap up warm and enjoy the countryside walks then come home and curl up on the sofa, in front of the electric fireplace, with a glass of wine and enjoy a film from our vast collection of DVDs. Summertime means relaxing in the garden or around the shared pool. We can offer you a selection of books if required, and even lend you wellies for your walks. Sarah is also a qualified Bien Être masseuse and offers treatments for ladies onsite ... paid locally. What a wonderful way to really relax on your holiday Guest access You have off road parking, a private patio with table and chairs a large BBQ is provided for alfresco dining. There is a small splash pool available from June to end of September - shared with one other small cottage on site. Other things to note We have one lovely friendly cat called Sam who likes to say hello to our guests. if you love cats he will love you........if you don't like cats shoo him away and he quickly gets the message. We live in a very quiet lane, the passing traffic is minimal, maybe a car or two and our neighbour's tractor, peace and quiet is the norm. There is another cottage on site so the parking is shared. Bed linen and towels, Water and gas are included, €15 for all electric from 1 sept to 31 May. Since Covid we are leaving a longer gap between all guests as we need to deep clean thoroughly before you arrive. All guests will have a freshly washed duvet, complete fresh set of bedding including mattress and pillow protectors. Checkin is at 1830 and departure must be before 9am unless otherwise arranged. We don’t charge a cleaning fee but expect The Barn to be left clean and tidy as you found it, if you don’t wish to do this a cleaning package can be arranged for a fee of €35 to be paid locally.
