Welcome to the The Little River Inn! We are a small inn located along the Little River in Stowe, just a short walk to the heart of the village. Room Three features a queen bed with private bath and includes a full breakfast. There is a warm and inviting living room to relax in with a fireplace, TV, books, and games. Room Three is located on the first floor on the front side of the inn. This room features a queen bed with a private bath and individually controlled heat and air. Guests of the inn have access to several common spaces. There is a welcoming reception room with a woodstove and seating area, a living room to spread out in with a fireplace, TV, books and games, a deck with hot tub overlooking our spacious backyard that borders the Little River and a sunny breakfast room to start your day. We serve a full home made breakfast with juice, coffee, tea, baked goods, hot and cold cereal, fresh fruit and yogurt. Guests can help themselves to coffee, tea, water, and ice along with the use of a microwave and refrigerator 24/7. Wifi is available throughout the inn. Stowe is known as the ski capital of the east, and its old-world village defines charming. But it’s more than just a winter wonderland. Activities range from downhill and cross country skiing, snowshoeing, dogsledding, snowmobiling, sleigh rides, and skating in the winter, to hiking, biking, fishing, canoeing, horseback riding, paddle boarding, and events and festivals just about every weekend in the summer. Nowhere else is fall foliage more spectacular than in Vermont's northern Green Mountains, and Stowe is in the middle of it all. There is plenty of shopping, breweries, cideries, museums, and over forty restaurants of every variety and price point, many just a short walk from the inn. The 5½ mile Rec Path accesses much of what Stowe has to offer. The The Little River Inn is a licensed, inspected, and insured Vermont Bed and Breakfast and complies with all state and federal fire and health regulations. At check in, guests will be given a key to the inn and their private room. All common areas are available 24/7 but we ask that quiet hours be observed from 10pm until breakfast. Out back, you are greeted by a bubbling hot tub on the deck and your pathway down to two acres of gardens and grassy spots with Adirondack chairs and outdoor furniture for an outdoor dinner by the river or card game with your favorite beverage. You will see us at check-in, check-out, and every morning at breakfast. We live on-site in separate quarters so can be available to answer your questions most hours of the day. We are happy to get you the information you need to make your stay in Stowe everything you want it to be. Stowe is very walkable and bike-friendly with sidewalks in the Village and pedestrian right-of-ways. The Rec Path winds through the town and along the Mountain Road providing access for walkers, runners, and bikers to almost all shopping, dining, and sightseeing in the town. In the winter there is a free shuttle bus that stops by the inn that provides service to the ski area and back and points in between. We have five additional rooms available for your stay.
