Welcome to our home, next to the ancient footpath to Kastro. It is a two-story summer house, in an estate with a three-house complex, situated on top of a sparsely built hillside, bordering an olive grove. Two of the best beaches of the island, Faros and Fasolou, as well as Apollonia, the main village, are 5 minutes away by car. The view from the house is of a typical Greek island with cultivated fields and olive trees and in the distance the blue sea of the Aegean. From the verandas one can see the islands of Folegandros, Sikinos, Despotiko, Antiparos, and Paros. There are three bedrooms and verandas all around as well as a courtyard with shades, so as to be able to find a shaded area outside the house all day long. The courtyard is in a secluded area where one can have breakfast, lunch and dinner in privacy and with a view of the olive grove. There are facilities for a barbecue and an outside shower to cool off at any time of the day. The veranda at the front is ideal for relaxing in the afternoon or having a cocktail before a night out with beautiful views. On the lower floor there are two sleeping rooms, a living room, the kitchen and the main bathroom. One bedroom has two beds that can be joined into a double bed. The second sleeping room has a spacious double bunk which can accommodate either two children or two adults provided one of them is able to climb to the top bunk. Both bedrooms have direct access to a veranda through French windows. The kitchen is provided with everything necessary for breakfast and lunch, with an electric stove and oven, a coffee machine for filter coffee or espresso, and various other appliances. In the provisions of the house, coffee and Nespresso capsules are included. On the first floor there is a large bedroom with a queen sized bed and an independent entrance. There is also a loft which is 180 cm in height, with a second, small bathroom. The bedroom has direct access to three verandas, the front one with panoramic views. All three bedrooms have air conditioning. There is also a Wi-Fi connection. From the house there is exclusive access to an approximately thousand square meters garden which borders the ancient footpath to Kastro, the medieval capital of the island. Starting from the house, one can walk to Kastro, following the footpath. It is a 40-minute easy walk, mostly downhill, terminating at Seralia, the picturesque beach of Kastro. The footpath for the most part descends between drywalls, xerolithies in Greek, built in the traditional way. The path meanders between fields and olive groves, and gives the impression that one is away from civilization, in a hike of exquisite beauty. Following the footpath in the opposite direction, one can walk to Faros and Fasolou. It is a 30-minute easy walk mostly downhill as well. From Faros, following another beautiful footpath next to the sea, one can walk in 10-15 minutes to the monastery of Chrisopigi, one of the landmarks of the island. Two of the most beautiful beaches of the island, Faros and Fasolou, as well as the capital, Apollonia, are just a 5-minute drive away. The view we see is the classic island view, with the dry stone walls, the cultivated fields and the olive trees in the foreground and in the background the blue of the Aegean. From our terraces you can easily distinguish the neighboring islands, Folegandros, Sikinos, Despotiko, Antiparos and Paros. The house has three bedrooms and terraces all around as well as a paved courtyard with a pergola so that there is a terrace in the shade at all hours of the day. The courtyard, on the side of the house, is isolated from the rest of the complex and is thus configured to have all three meals of the day there. Next to the paved area where there is the large table, the barbecue has been built, and there is also an outdoor shower. On the front terrace there is a comfortable outdoor living room, ideal for relaxing and reading in the afternoon or a cool cocktail before going out in the evening. On the ground floor of the house there are two bedrooms, the living room, the kitchen and the main bathroom. One bedroom has two beds that can be joined into a double. The second bedroom has a spacious bunk bed, the size of a regular bed in which either 2 children or 2 adults can sleep, provided that one of them can climb the stairs. Both rooms have balcony doors that open onto one of the terraces or the courtyard. The kitchen is equipped with everything you may need to prepare breakfast or meals: It has an electric stove and oven, a coffee maker for filter coffee, a Nespresso coffee machine and other small appliances. Supplies you will find include filter coffee and Nespresso capsules. Upstairs is the large bedroom, which has its own separate entrance. The bed is king size while the second, small bathroom is located on the low loft – its height is 1.80 cm. The large bedroom has three terraces, two with panoramic views. All three bedrooms have air-conditioning. The house also has Wi-Fi. The house has its own one-acre garden which borders the path to the Castle, the old capital of the island with the traditional settlement inhabited since antiquity. Starting from the house, one can in 40 minutes, with a relaxed downhill walk, go to Kastro and Seralia, the small but beautiful beach of Kastro. The trail, for the most part, is between dry stone walls and passes through fields and olive groves, away from civilization. A route of unique beauty. Following the opposite direction, again downhill, you can go in about 30 minutes to the Lighthouse and the beach of Fasolou and from there, again with a path that goes by the sea, you can go to the famous monastery of Chrysopigi.
