Peaceful & cozy getaway in Savage River forest

Ready to camp but without the hassle of a pitching a tent? Relax with family and friends in this peaceful woodsy cabin just moments from Big Run State Park in Savage River Forest. Take a relaxing stroll along Savage River, check out nearby creeks, hike, kayak, or canoe in several Parks. Head to Deep Creek to pick up glamping necessities and for even more lake fun and great food! The area also boasts horseback riding, mountain biking, white water rafting, farms & winery within an hours drive. The space Formerly a hunting lodge, this cozy cabin features a large living room, 2 wood burning stoves, dining area, wood deck, bbq grill, outdoor fire pit, and plenty of greenery and woods! The bedroom is accessible only by ladder and may not be suitable for those with some physical limitations. However, the living room boasts a comfy pull out couch! The large upstairs bedroom has 6 single beds and 1 queen bed (with 4 optional single top bunks; no mattresses but sleeping bag friendly). Guest access Parking for up to 3 cars is available on the property. The perfect place to relax and unwind, this cabin does not have WiFi but we do have a local landline for emergencies only. There is no cell service within a 5-10 mile radius of the cabin and there are cafes with WiFi at Deep Creek for those that must connect. Other things to note Pets under 50 lbs are welcome! If any major accidents occur and a deep cleaning is required after your departure, we’ll hold onto your $100 security deposit.
