The Violin house is surrounded by forest and California Chaparral hillside. Homes in this area were originally built as creative retreats for artists and professors associated with Idyllwild Arts Academy (previously called ISOMATA and part of USC) which is just down in the valley below. During warm months, it's possible to hear exceptional live music recitals from the deck at the Violin House, emanating from Idyllwild Arts. It's just a 5 minute drive to the center of Idyllwild. The house is up near a ridge, looking down on a large, wide open valley with views of the mountain peaks towering above in the distance. Extremely private, serene and natural. Everything is 5-10 minutes away. We are in an extremely high risk fire zone, so please no smoking, no outside fires or lit items of any kind. We care deeply about our most sacred spaces: our home and our mountain, so please treat both (and all of the wonderful plants and animals) with respect.
