Description
Bala, Mures County, is a stunning rural village in the heart of Transylvania. High up, in a bowl of rolling hills, it is the land that time forgot, green and sleepy with only the sound of cows’ bells tinkling as they are herded home from pasture and the clip-clop of a horse and cart. Experience life in the slow lane as it was a hundred years ago – almost the last unspoilt place in Europe you can see local people farming smallholdings and nursing their ancient traditions with love and pride. The space One room is a cosy and very special vernacular room with a traditional Transylvanian 'drawer bed' (a two-storey bed of which the lower part can be pulled out as an open drawer). It is ideal for single travellers, but can also accommodate two persons. The second room has a double bed with little windows and a great view to the garden. The shower room and toilet is situated in between the two rooms. Both rooms are equipped with a small table and chairs , reading lamps; coffee, tea and mineral water; duvet bed covers , toiletries , bookshelves and writing paper. Central heating is provided throughout the house. Children's cots can be added to most rooms. The village is surrounded by hills, fresh air and is very safe.
