Its in an quiet and old village called Eyrarbakki which is a historical fishing village. Ideal for couples visiting this lovely area of South Iceland. The property is beautiful, romantic and well equipped. Lovingly restored and individually styled. The property is located just a few steps away from the magnificent Atlantic ocean. Good views and peaceful location. A short drive of around 40 minutes from your Seaside cottage will bring you to the major tourist attractions in South Iceland. At the end of the day, return to this welcoming cozy Seaside cottage and relax. Vesturgata cottage was built 2012-2013. It offers open plan studio accommodation with one double bed, 200cm x 140cm, dining and sitting area. Bath room with a shower cubicle, basin and WC. The living space is bright and airy with a modern and well equipped kitchen. Outside is an open garden with a private patio, garden furniture and a gas BBQ. From where the garden ends you only have a few steps to the magnificent Atlantic ocean. Grocery store and grate restaurant, Rauða Húsið are in the village. Horse rental is set in the village. Local supermarkets and shops in Selfoss within 15 minutes drive. Swimming pool in Stokkseyri within 5 minutes drive. Amenities District heating. The kitchen is well equipped with all conceivable cookware, crockery and glassware. A hob with radiant cooking zones, oven with dual function, fridge, freezer, TV with DVD, CD/radio, small library of books/DVDs. All electricity and heat inc. in rent. The village is central with regards to some of the major tourist attractions; Volcano Geldingardalir 40 min drive, Þingvellir, Gullfoss and Geysir 40 min drive, and the Volcano island Vestmannaeyjar, and Eyjafjallajökull. The nature around Eyrarbakki is extraordinary. The bird reservation Flói is within a walking distance, and the endless sky is filled with birds during the summer and northern lights during winter.
