The space Located right on the river bank of the River Derwent River Cottage Studio offers a perfect location to relax & unwind, watch the local wildlife on the river or get out and about and explore the local countryside. Situated on a quiet lane, short walk to 2 local pubs, The Square and Compass and the Three Stags Heads, 5 minute drive to supermarket. Located near the Peak District with beautiful rural & woodland walks accessible from the property. Close to Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Matlock, Matlock Bath and Bakewell. Fantastic location for a rural escape on the bank of the River Derwent. All year round outdoor activities; walking, kayaking, climbing or mountainbiking. Local wildlife in Summer - spot the Kingfisher, Watervoles, Swallows skimming and dipping across the water surface, or Bats, Owls, Stoats. Well equipped kitchen; electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge (with ice box) and tea, coffee & milk supplied. Modern shower / wet room. TV, internet access & dvd player. Books with walks and lots of local info and leaflets with guides to local tourist attractions & activities. Enhanced Cleaning Routine Ensuring that the Studio is sparkling clean has always been a priority. However we have introduced an enhanced cleaning routine to sanitise the Studio due to COVID-19, using disinfectant and virucidal spray. Additional care is taken to disinfect surfaces, all light switches & cord pull handles, thermostats, window sills & handles, all cabinet & doorhandles, sinks, tap handles, bedside tables, chairs, table & the equipment provided for guest use eg: toaster, kettle, condiments, bins, hoover, hairdryer etc. Throws & linen are all washed between guests and permanent soft furnishings such as curtains & sofa are sprayed with disinfectant. What we ask of you at this time: Please be kind enough to strip the sheets, quilt cover and pillowcases and place them in the laundry bag provided. Similarly, please place towels in the laundry bag provided in the bathroom. On leaving, please leave the bathroom window or skylight (weather permitting) & bathroom door open when you leave the property to help ventilate the studio. (Switch heating off). Guest access Private driveway access to private, spacious off street parking. Guests also have use of a pleasant, private riverside garden area. Other things to note Close to the recently opened section of the White Peak cycle route between Matlock and Rowsley and to the Peak Rail heritage line which runs alongside the cycle path.
