It is quirky and late-Victorian with lots of sunlight coming in. The house is full of charm. Downstairs, our favourite part of the house is the central dining room and its big table with unique artwork on the wall. We don't have a TV in the Eastburn writer's house - there's so much to do in and around the area that you wouldn't have time anyway! - and you're free to dip in and out of the generous and eclectic selection of books and games while you're here. As well as a dining room the house has a cosy lounge to relax in. The fully equipped kitchen looks out to a dry stone wall in the lane and the wide distant Yorkshire hill views (think "Last of the Summer Wine"). Parking: There is free-of-charge street parking for one vehicle on the street (we give you a parking permit for one vehicle only, no cost). Outside space: The house also has a small enclosed pebbled rear yard in which to enjoy a glass of wine or a morning coffee. It's very private and offers superb views, especially sunsets. There is a table with 2 chairs. There is space in the kitchen to accommodate two bikes so they'll be safe and secure. At the back of the house is a large playing field, wildlife area, and children's playground. It's a large open space with great views. Perfect for a kick-about if you're staying with children or just to have a peaceful morning walk. In the house there's a big selection of books for all ages (children included), as well as a collection of board games for all ages. There's also some toys for younger children.
