Description
Nice cottage overlooking Gaustatoppen built in 2018. The cottage is located in the sunniest area with sun from morning to evening, as long as the weather permits. Patio with barbecue grill in lovely evening sun. The cottage has two floors. On the first floor, there is a kitchen and living room with an open floor plan, two bedrooms and two fully equipped bathrooms. One bathroom is directly adjacent to one bedroom. On the upper floor, there are two bedrooms as well as a small living room with a sofa bed and TV. We hope you will enjoy your stay in our cottage. The space Alpine skiing Guastatoppen is known to be snow-sure and has the ski resort open about 160 days a year. The facility has 32 slopes, 12 lifts, two of which are chair lifts. The longest slope is 3.8 km long with a drop of 550 meters. For those who like off-piste skiing, the area around Guasta is perfect with slopes for both beginners and more experienced skiers. With the Gaustabanan, you can take the train all the way up to the Gaustatoppen, which means that even the disabled can enjoy the view from the top. From the top, you can also go off-piste down. Cross-country skiing The area has about 90 km of prepared cross-country ski trails. There are tracks for both beginners and experts. The tracks are prepared daily during the season as long as the weather allows. Ice climbing Rjukan is well known for its great conditions for ice climbing in winter. Gaustatoppen Is considered by many to be Norway's most beautiful mountain. It stands 1883 meters above sea level. On a clear day, you can see over one-sixth of Norway. Every year, 30,000 people visit this peak. During Easter and the entire summer season, there is service in the Tourist Association's stone cabin at the top. Here you can buy light refreshments. The cabin was built in 1893 and is completely built of stone from Gaustafjället. Summer In the summer, there are fantastic hiking and biking trails around the whole area, where cloudberries also grow. It is close to fishing both in the mountains and down in Tinnsjön, which is rich in fish with its 480 meters in depth. Service It is within walking distance to the popular "Bygget" with après-ski and food service. Gaustablikk Ski Center also has après-ski, a restaurant, a hotel and a small service shop. Free mountain bus down to Rjukan where you will find all the necessary facilities: shops, bathhouses, museums, cinema, etc. Rjukan is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. From Rjukan, you can also take the Krossobanan up to Hardangervidda. Cleaning is not included, this is done by the guests themselves. Cleaning can be purchased if required and then paid by the guest. Sheets and towels are not included in the price, can be rented for NOK 200/set. If so, please let us know a few days before arrival. During the winter season (December - May), you cannot check in on Saturdays. Electric car charger Electric car can be charged at cost price. Not included in the rental of the cabin. Amount requested as an extra payment through Airbnb Guest access The entire cottage with the exception of a locked private storage room.
