South Country Lodge is an amazing log cabin that stands in a beautiful country field which overlooks The Sturgeon River, a home to many brook trout. Deer and wild turkey graze in the field. There are well groomed, quiet hiking trails and a huge wrap around deck to allow you to sit outside and take it all in. The inside of the cabin is absolutely beautiful with all the amenities you will need to make your stay a relaxing vacation. Once you’ve experienced the lodge, you won’t want to leave. The space As a guest, you will have full access to the entire cabin. If you don’t feel like cooking, there are great restaurant and grocery store options within 4 miles of the cabin. The cabin is located only 3 miles from Felch, Michigan. It is approximately 25 miles from Iron Mountain Michigan and it is about 50 miles from Escanaba, MI. It is also near the snowmobile trails. Winter offers amazing outdoor activities, like cross country skiing. You are only 25 minutes from skiing at Pine Mountain, located in Iron Mountain, MI. Guest access The entire cabin is yours to enjoy...there is a full kitchen with dishes and cooking tools, a gas grill on the deck, should you decide to grill out. There is a bar table inside the main floor and an outdoor dining area that seats 10-12 on the deck. The open concept main floor allows you to enjoy hundreds of direct tv channels and sporting events. The basement has a full bar, pool table, card room and another patio area just outside of the basement. Another dining table a beautiful porch swing allow for another spot to relax. There are two bedrooms on the main floor, a large loft in the upstairs, and a full sized, futon sofa in the basement. There are also two twin size air mattresses available. Your family will experience a quiet, beautiful, country log cabin with very modern living. Other things to note You will turn off of M69 onto Metropolitan Road and drive until you see a sign that says “South Country Lodge”. From Metropolitan Rd to the cabin, you will drive on about 3/4 of a mile of gravel road through the field until you reach the cabin that is unseen until you drive down the hill and turn toward your destination. (You will cross a gravel road and go onto the road that goes into the field). If you turn right, that goes into the woods and to a bridge over the Sturgeon River...if you see the bridge, you missed the road into the field.
