Farmhouse accommodation in a room in Pomona

Hi! We are Esko and Leena, the host couple of Tuukkala Estate. We live here all year round. Our farm has been in the host's family for 300 years, and we strive to act as responsibly as possible so that the farm and nature will be preserved for centuries to come. The space The room is located in the apartment with two other rooms (Pomona and Kielo). We serve a country breakfast in the summer on the glass terrace of the 19th century main house. Breakfast includes pastries or waffles made by Leena or Esko. We use berries grown in our own garden in jams and juices. In the summer, we have chickens on our farm, so it is also possible to taste the eggs of our own chicken coop at breakfast. As our latest hobby, we have started to take care of bees, so in the near future there is an opportunity to get honey from our own bees. We favor domestic local food in our products. During the summer, we are delighted to have ten chickens on our farm. Our animals are free to visit. Our farm has a large lush garden, which includes a trampoline and various yard games for children. The garden also has good barbecue facilities for summer evenings. We have renovated our old pond into a summer drying room. So if you happen to get wet on your way to us, the drying room is at your disposal. Guest access Tuukkala Estate is located in Ristiinassa, Mikkeli, along the Green Gold Cultural Route. The area offers a wide range of route options for both cyclists and motorists. The traditional dance floor of Metsälinna is located about 4 km from our farm. You can get to the Sunday dances romantically, even along the old sandy roads by bicycle. One of Finland's largest rock paintings in Astuvansalmi is located about 24 km away and is a natural destination worth visiting. The Pien-Toijola Peasant Museum is a museum located about 22 km away. Open only during the summer. The nearest beach, grocery stores and restaurant services are located in Ristina, about 4 km from our farm. Other things to note An old village road leaves our farm, along which you can admire the rural scenery. The peaceful village road is therefore a great place for an evening walk, a morning walk or even a bird-watching trip.
