You will enter your private cozy studio apartment downstairs (we live upstairs w/ our foster dog, Bailey) for your stay after a busy day on the beach sunning, fishing and swimming just a block away. Enjoy the quiet and romantic setting of Sandbridge. The space My husband and I live upstairs with our foster dog, Bailey. So, please, if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask because we want you to enjoy your stay. After parking at the guest parking space leading to a private covered porch, you enter your cozy studio apartment. Amenities include a bar sink and counter, a microwave, a dorm refrigerator and a breakfast nook for two. Beyond, the vacation apartment boasts a queen-size bed and living/seating area with a TV and wireless internet luring vacationers to relax after a full day of surfing, swimming, boating, sunning, fishing......And don't forget the back deck for your evening drinks and sunset views. There's a dock for water access to Back Bay, part of the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge and canoe for two is provided for your afternoon touring (fishing?) around North Bay. Also, beach cruiser bikes are provided for guests and, for the short walk to the beach, a Rolleez beach cart is available to help carry a cooler, beach chairs (also courtesy of the hosts) and other "must haves" for a vacation to remember. A Complimentary bottle of wine and other goodies will be waiting for you. We do NOT serve breakfast. We do not enter the rental during the guests' visits. All linens are provided but there is no daily cleaning service like you would get at a hotel. Imagine staying with your best friend. That is what your stay here will be like. Policies: Maximum of two (2) guests. No smoking or vaping on the premises and no pets. Check out is at 10:00 am and check in is at 3:00 pm. These times can be flexible, please let me know of your requests and I will try to make it happen if I can. About Sandbridge: Sandbridge Beach is located in the resort city of Virginia Beach, however Sandbridge is on the quiet residential south end on a barrier island. We are sometimes called the Outer Banks of Virginia. The Atlantic Ocean is to the East and Back Bay is on the West side. A mile south of our place is the Back Bay Wildlife Refuge and past that is the False Cape State Park (it is only accessible on foot, bike or boat). While exploring you may see a wild horse or boar, or even a whale swimming close to the shore. And if you like bird watching, there are plenty of water fowl and other birds to see. 20 minutes away Virginia Beach has all the amenities of a beach resort; a boardwalk, nightclubs, lots of restaurants, charter fishing boats and golf courses. A visit to the Marine Science Museum is a must. They now have a zipline course, called The Adventure Park! Summer outdoor concerts with big national artists are at the close by amphitheater. If you want to stay close, Sandbridge Beach is a wonderful place to spend the day, and night. We have two local and locally owned restaurants, and a small family owned grocery with the best donuts ever. Kayaking in Back Bay or fishing off of the fishing pier are other ways to relax and enjoy your vacation. Bring your surfboards and come on. Norfolk International Airport services all of Virginia Beach. Guest access Guest has access to the front and back yards with their own parking space along side of the North side of the house. Also live music on Friday nights at the Bay View Lounge (an open air venue) at the Baja Restaurant. Only 1 mile south of the house.
