Countryhouse 16th Century, surprising space, fantastic unspoilt views
We are very close to the tourist attractions that make up this area and just far enough to ensure a calm and relaxing stay. No ambient light at night disturbs us so that starry nights are seen very clearly and detailed, which is quite rare in central Europe. Only 15 minutes separate us from the major prehistoric aera between Montignac and Les Eyzies, called 'Vallée de l'homme' (Valley of man), displaying 40,000 years of human settling with the cave of 'Lascaux' and the 'National prehistoric museum', and from the castle of Hautefort. Beautiful, typically French weekly markets and great canoeing little north or south of us bring dynamism and variety to your stay. We are situated in a beautiful rolling countryside. Small or large excursions or tours can start right from the house, they lead through walnut groves and quaint, authentic villages with stone houses and churches from the 12th-17th Century. The holiday home is part of a large country house, on top of the hill at the edge of a small hamlet. In the garden, on the sunny west side there is a siting /dining area below a big tree from where one has a breathtaking 180 degree view free to the west, across fields, woods and meadows. In the evening you will enjoy unforgettable sunsets, breathe healthy country air and listen to birdsongs. Pure relaxation.
