Vleidam farm has plenty of activities with its picturesque mountain or “koppies', ideal for hiking or 4x4 trailing, which takes you to phenomenal lookout points. Guest access The 4 self-catering cottages come with years of history. Now renovated- the stylish, farm-style cottages was originally build in the 1920’s and still has its initial foundations. Cottage 1 (Sleeps 5 people): This cottage has two spacious bedrooms, a fully equipped and spacious kitchen with braai-facilities inside kitchen and a living room with a TV (M-Net and DStv included). The main bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The second bedroom has three single beds. There is a second bathroom with a luxurious bath. There is a fan and a heater in each room, a “stoep-area” outside, a garden, swimming pool and outside braai-facilities. This cottage has air-conditioning. Cottage 2 (Sleeps 5 people): This cottage has two spacious bedrooms, a fully equipped and spacious kitchen with braai-facilities inside the kitchen and a living room with a TV (M-Net and DStv included). The main bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath. The second bedroom has a double bed with a single bed. There is a second bathroom with a shower. There is a fan and a heater in each room, a “stoep-area” outside, a garden, a swimming pool and outside braai-facilities. This cottage has air-conditioning. Cottage 3 (sleeps 2 or 4 people): The "honeymoon" suite - This unique cottage has a spacious bedroom with a queen size bed, a modern bathroom with a bath and a shower, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a fireplace inside. There is also a large “stoep"-area with outside braai-facilities and a breathtaking view of the Swartland. The bedroom and the living room walk out onto the "stoep"-area. There is air-conditioning in this cottage. Cottage 4 (sleeps 2 people): This unique air-conditioned cottage has a spacious open-plan design and is furnished with a queen-size bed as well as 2 armchairs in the sleeping area. The modern en-suite bathroom is fitted with a shower and a bath. There is a fully equipped kitchen which includes a fridge-freezer, mini oven with stove plates, a microwave, and kettle. The living area features a fireplace and a dining table for 2. The cottage opens onto a spacious patio with outdoor braai facilities and a breathtaking view of the Swartland. Please note that this unit does not have a TV. We provide soaps and toiletries in each bathroom as well as towels and bed linen for each guest. The cottages are disabled friendly, family friendly and we offer secure, off-street parking on the farm. Other things to note You may also want to explore the nearby towns of Moorreesburg, Piketberg, Koringberg, Porteville, Langebaan, Velddrif, Riebeek-Kasteel or Misverstand dam where you can swim, ski, canoe or boat. These touristy towns have plenty of fabulous restaurants, farm-stalls as well as wine farms for you to enjoy, all less than 10 minutes away! Otherwise, enjoy an evening in around the “braai pit" on your personal front lawn where kids can play while watching the sunset over the farming meadows.
