Rutland Passivhaus Stay

A super insulated house designed to the Passivhaus Standard. Located in Whitwell Village on the north shore of Rutland Water. Space offered is a self-contained double bedroom with a separate shower room and entrance. Parking is provided. Tea, coffee and breakfast items are provided including fresh fruit. Please note that the room does not have direct views to Rutland Water but the water is just a short 14 minute walk away or easily enjoyed from the garden of the main house. The space The whole property, constructed in 2014 is a certified Passivhaus. This means that it is super insulated and air tight with mechanical ventilation heat recovery. Energy efficient and environmetally friendly our ground floor modern double bedroom is self-contained, wheelchair friendly, and is only walking distance to Rutland Water. The market towns of Stamford (7.7 miles) and Oakham (4.2 miles) can both be accessed by a public bus, which stops almost directly outside the property. We are happy to give you an introduction to designing and constructing to the Passivhaus Standard. Guest access Double Bedroom, then bathroom, parking. However, as specified above no access to the upstairs of the property or direct views from the room to Rutland Water, however we are happy for guests to access the back garden and there are views to the water from there with benches to sit onto enjoy the views. Other things to note We do have a large garden at the back of the property with bench seating and guests are welcome to use this space also.
