The space A guest house is much more than a place to sleep: it's an invitation to authenticity, sharing and genuine hospitality. Nestled in the heart of the Normandy countryside, our charming farmhouse welcomes you just 30 minutes from Mont-Saint-Michel and only 5 minutes from the beautiful Hambye Abbey. It is the perfect base for exploring the bay, Granville, the D-Day beaches, Chausey Islands and Normandy's scenic countryside. Every morning, enjoy a delicious breakfast featuring local products: artisan bread and pastries, organic eggs, homemade jams, local honey and fresh seasonal produce. Nature lovers will appreciate the peaceful surroundings, horses, birds and traditional hedgerows. We are committed to environmentally friendly practices, including composting, recycling and supporting local producers. Our property is also a refuge for birds and wildlife. Pets are welcome, provided they are friendly with our cats, dogs and horses. The room includes a refrigerator and television. Travelling with your horse? We also offer paddocks, stables and boxes by prior arrangement. Guest access You will have your own private room as well as access to the shared areas: the fully equipped kitchen, the living room with fireplace, the terrace, the garden and the laundry room. The kitchen is available free of charge for all guests. We simply ask everyone to leave it clean after use. You are welcome to enjoy the outdoor areas, watch our horses in the fields and experience the peaceful Normandy countryside. Depending on the season, you may also enjoy fruit from our orchard. Upon request and subject to availability, we also offer homemade evening meals prepared with fresh local products. We will be delighted to share our favourite places and help you discover the region. This will make it easier for you to appreciate the diversity of these 8 courses in La Manche, 9 with the Isle of Jersey, 3 of which are close to the property. The typical Normandy bocage, activities, relaxing, nice little restaurants, discovering our local markets, vegetables, fish, seafood, organic poultry, cider, etc... Between land and sea, there are plenty of leisure activities in La Manche. The richness of the region, its soil, its history, its many abbeys and its gastronomy are all within easy reach. Horse-riding in the bocage or on the beaches, sport fishing in the sea or rivers, numerous golf courses for all abilities, beginners or advanced. A wide range of sports equipment is available on site, and bikes can be hired on the property for solo or family outings. For thrill-seekers, you can go sand yachting on the long sandy beaches of the English Channel - 285 km of coastline and beaches, the longest in Europe - or try your hand at kitesurfing, or one of the many other water sports. You can also visit the world's largest visitable submarine at Cherbourg or stroll through the many markets in the region... There's so much to see and do in La Manche, you'll never get bored! Sport fishing at sea or in rivers, rare expeditions in FranceSport fishing for highly migratory fish such as salmon, salmon trout and shad. Sport fishing for migratory fish, and salmonids in particular, is exciting. Anglers often have to spend many hours at the water's edge before they finally get "a bite" and begin an often spectacular fight. The memory of each catch will be unforgettable, as will the pleasure of releasing these mythical, dream-bearing fish! With or without professional fishing instructors and guides, nature outings will delight young and old alike, 2 km from the property, 2 rivers marked by the confluence of the Sienne and the Doquette. These two rivers, which are ideal for the reproduction of migratory fish, feed the surrounding meadows and are dotted with small ponds or temporary wetlands rich in plant species that are rare in the region. Salmonids and Migrators - Unique in France The many rivers in the Manche region (Sée, Sélune, Sienne, Saire and Vire) are home to amphihaline migratory fish, i.e. fish that can pass from freshwater to sea water and vice versa to complete their life cycle. There are many migratory fish in the English Channel: shad, Atlantic salmon, sea trout, eels, lampreys, etc. Racecourses - Racecourses - Events Come and experience the excitement and suspense of horse racing in Normandy. Special Golf in the Manche Coutainville Golf Club - 18 holes - Par 68 Golf de Granville, Baie du Mont Saint-Michel - 27 holes - Par 72 Bréhal Golf Club - 9 holes - Par 31 For lovers of unspoilt coastlines, we have of course the seaside close to the property, but also the Chausey Islands (the local paradise) off Granville, the St Tropez of Normandy. So, would you like to breathe in the iodised air of the English Channel? Take a walk with the bottlenose dolphins and grey seals, the emblematic but wild "Grail". Well, Flipper and his little buddies "squat" along our coasts! There are nearly 500 of them in the bay. They form the largest concentration of bottlenose dolphins in Europe. Their playground is the bay of Mont Saint-Michel! 550 km², or 3 times the size of Paris! Here, these bottlenose dolphins find a marine biodiversity rich in fish to feed on, which is why they have become sedentary.
