Private Garden Studio hideaway on the South Downs

A cosy get away, set in a large garden. Walk in Virginia Woolf countryside. Close to Glyndebourne, Charleston, Rodmell, Newhaven, Seaford, Lewes & Brighton. Our private garden studio is a perfect place to unwind. Right on the South Downs for walking & biking. Mid century style, luxury bathroom, blackout blinds, record player, books, breakfast foods & an amazing view. Parking space . Wifi. Comfortably fits 2 adults. The space Cosy & comfortable garden room. With clean mid century style, this private hideaway is perfect to hunker down in. ** Super clean, this is cosy isolation if you need to get away! ** Arrive by bike, car or ferry for an undisturbed stay. Includes a double bed with cosy cotton bed linen. There is a wood burning stove and fully equipped kitchenette. Single induction hob, small fridge, microwave, kettle & toaster plus utensils and crockery etc. See pictures. The bathroom has a large shower with views onto the wild garden and plenty of space to wind down from a busy or active day. There is parking. Please be aware the parking space is accessed via a track. Very close to the house but a bit uneven. We have had sports cars to Land Rovers so it's really personal choice. Flat parking a short walk away. Plus there are a couple of steps down into the garden and a further three taking you down to a lower level for the studio. There is also a place to store bikes. South Heighton is perfectly placed on the edge of the Downs and within the South Downs National Park. Perfect for hikers and bikers, visitors to Glyndebourne, Charleston, Lewes (including the fireworks) and Seaford and festivals such as Love Supreme and Charleston Festival. Cuckmere and the Seven Sisters for walking and Tide Mills is just minutes away by car for wind surfing and a hang gliding school is 20 mins away. It's a small village with a couple of pubs to drink in and a fabulous pottery to visit. Buses and trains are nearby for Lewes, Seaford, Brighton, Eastbourne and London. A 20 minute walk for either or a very short taxi ride. The ferry to Dieppe is 5 minutes away by car. Seaford and Newhaven are great for seaside walks or a swim. Really good places to eat are a drive away but you can bring & cook your own food. Modest facilities for basic meals. We can make sure you have everything needed for a restful stay. The studio has amazing views so in good weather sit out on the decking and enjoy the sunset or snuggle in bed and watch the view as a train weaves its way across the horizon. There is no access to the house but you are welcome to walk in the main garden. Happy to welcome and advise. Available to help via text during stay. It's a private space so guests will not be disturbed. South Heighton is a small working village with a farm and stables. The parish mark events during the year which includes the Bonfire Society who spend the weekends up to November 5th attending processions and firework displays in surrounding villages culminating in our very own, the weekend after Lewes has theirs. A procession past the studio ends in a firework event on the playing field below. Parking included. Train and main buses 20 min walk away. You can walk across the downs to Eastbourne, Seaford or Firle. Guest access There is no access to the house but you are welcome to walk in the main garden. Other things to note Please note the cooking facilities are a single induction hob, microwave, kettle and toaster plus all pans, utensils and crockery etc. Perfect for modest meals but no conventional oven. The Woodburner is supplemented by oil heaters .
