Located on quiet Church St., this 141 year old well-constructed house is surrounded by hundreds of acres of farmland near several established wineries. It is a great spot to enjoy the peace and beauty of the Annapolis Valley while being only a few minutes drive to Wolfville, New Minas, Kentville and Canning. Large windows, bright open space, wide floor boards, comfortable and clean furnishing makes this house an authentic 'farmhouse chic' destination. The space This updated house has plenty of space for groups. The house boasts a large deck, spacious mudroom/entry, modern kitchen with island and nook, bright dining room, classic library room, entertainment room with large monitor (dvd player and hdmi connection provided, no cable/satellite) and large comfy couch (seats 6+ and has a surprisingly comfy pull out bed), full bathroom with a glass door shower, and a bathroom with a clawfoot tub. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire house, deck and yard. Guests will also have access to the dyke road that starts at the house and runs for many kilometers through the adjacent farmland. Other things to note Some things to know about staying on a farm... This house is beside a tall barn that does not house animals. There are no street lights, so it can be very dark at night, which means a great view of stars! At night, coyotes can sometimes be heard in the distance. There is not a lot of traffic on Church St., but it is common to see cars travelling at high speed, so please be aware that some drivers are not as cautious as others. We will let you know if we anticipate any agricultural activities that could have an impact on your stay.
