Waneta Lakeview Getaway

Lakeview bungalow, perfect for a place to call home while exploring the beautiful finger lakes or during a long weekend wine tour! Located on a small lake nestled between two larger lakes in central New York State. We are 12 miles from Watkins Glen State Park near Seneca Lake, 7 miles from Hammondsport to the south, and 14 miles to Penn Yan at the north end of Keuka Lake! We are centrally located to take advantage of all the great things available in this beautiful region of upstate New York. The space You will love the beautiful view, and the serenity, of a visit on Waneta Lake. In the morning you may enjoy a cup of coffee while watching wildlife on the lake, or take a walk along the lake drive, far away from the highway. With a cozy gas fireplace in the living room, near the master bedroom, you can relax and watch a movie or enjoy cooking in the fully furnished kitchen, and have dinner on the deck or at the wrought iron picnic table overlooking the lake. The possibilities are endless! There are a lot of places that are easy day trips from this location, including Corning Glass Center, Watkins Glen State Park, Hammondsport Art Festivals, Boat Shows, Seaplane Museum, Finger Lakes Hiking Trails, Seneca and Keuka Lake Wineries, and many more! The Windmill Farm and Craft Market is only a few miles away, and is a wonderful place to spend a Saturday or to shop for a gift for someone special. Guest access You have access to the entire guesthouse, which was built above our garage, and separate from our home. There is also a large back lawn, and a front lawn overlooking the lake with a picnic table if you choose to have a meal outside. We have a paved driveway, and your "parking space" will be in front of our garage doors, right below your apartment steps. We request that you do a k-turn to turn around in our driveway or on our lawn (there will be plenty of room) since the bridge to access our property is quite narrow and we don't own the land on the other side of it.
