The Garden Cottage: Cosy weekend getaway.

The Garden Cottage is a self-contained cottage with its own entrance and use of the kitchen garden and tennis court in the spring/summer. A very well equipped kitchen/sitting room with comfortable sofa, a bathroom/shower and beautiful double bedroom upstairs. In a beautiful part of Hampshire for walking, cycling or a few days exploring local towns/villages. An ideal working from home environment too with excellent wi-fi. Wonderful views over our garden and the Basingstoke Golf Course. The space • Guest access: The main house and cottage are set back from the lane behind electric metal gates with plenty of off road parking in the drive. The cottage has plenty of privacy away from the main house and hosts. There is also storage space available for bikes if needed in the tack room. • Hall: The entrance to the cottage opens into a hall where you can hang your coats and boots after exploring the vast number of local walks and attractions. • Kitchen: Very well equipped kitchen with a fridge, microwave, cooker, toaster, kettle and Nespresso coffee machine and everything you need to prepare and cook meals. A table and chairs provide a space to enjoy any home-cooked meals during your stay or equally offers a peaceful area to work with fast WIFI provided. There is also a small TV in the corner of the room (which has all Free View channels) and a comfortable sofa. • Bathroom: A good sized bathroom with a powerful shower and heated towel rail. We provide good quality fluffy towels for your stay and luxury bathroom products. • Bedroom: Upstairs the beautiful bedroom is decorated in stunning neutral tones. The comfortable king size bed with luxurious Egyptian cotton bed linen will give you the perfect nights sleep. The bedroom has glorious views across the garden and has a seating area with two comfortable armchairs to curl up in and enjoy a good book. The bedroom also has a new 32’’ Smart TV so you can enjoy Free View, Netflix films etc (through your account) or connect with your laptop etc from the comfort of your bed. • Garden/outdoor seating- in the spring/summer guests have the use of the kitchen garden with a table and chairs to enjoy. It is a sun trap for the morning sun and perfect for breakfast or evening drinks. There is also a hard tennis court that can be used in the summer with prior arrangement. Guest access A car is advised for your stay due to the rural location but not essential and there is plenty of safe parking in our drive. Several guests have arrived by train then used local taxis very easily for the duration of their stay. Other things to note Due to stone flooring throughout the downstairs area and fairly steep stairs we say no infants and children for safety reasons. However, if you wish to stay and have a young baby (roughly under six months and not yet crawling etc) please let us know as we have hosted couples with very young babies in the past.
