*OLD FORGE* Cottage Nr.Stow-on-Wold + Parking

Old Forge is a beautiful 19th century Cotswolds home located just outside Stow-on-the-Wold. Private driveway for up to 3 vehicles. Lower Swell is a lovely traditional Cotswold village with picture perfect cottages in Cotswold stone with a friendly, local pub. Conveniently situated in the heart of Cotswold villages, Stow-on-the-Wold (3/4 mile), Lower Slaughter(2 miles), Bourton on the Water(5 miles), Moreton on the Marsh (5 miles), Broadway (10 miles), Cheltenham (14 miles), Oxford (30 miles). The space Old Forge was a traditional working iron forge built in the 1800's...now our quaint, beautifully decorated cottage sleeps 4-5 guests and is packed full of charm and quirks with modern day amenities. The incredible outdoor space has an area for dining and an area for relaxing in the sun (hopefully!) OUR COTTAGE. There is an open plan lounge, dining area & fully equipped kitchen, with everything you need including dishwasher, washing machine & microwave. The lounge is a lovely bright room with exposed full height roof trusses, it has comfortable sofas and a Smart TV with Netflix, a DVD player with plenty of DVDs. Free ultrafast fibre Wi-Fi & board games. From the kitchen through into the snug there is a double sided log burner which you are welcome to use on those chilly evenings! (Logs and coal are provided for your first evening). The snug has a double sofa bed (which we have listed as 1 single bed - this can be used when sleeping 5 guests only unless with prior agreement) with a curtain to pull across for privacy. Beyond the snug, the hallway leads to a bathroom with large walk in digital power shower & then onto the king size bedroom with en-suite which has a bath and a digital power shower over head. A low flight of stairs takes you to the twin bedroom (please note there is restricted head height in this bedroom). Outside, the picturesque cottage garden has full sun all of the day with 2 patio areas for you to BBQ, eat and relax. The garden highlight is the gate at the back which opens up onto Abbotswood Estate, boasting 880 acres of beautiful English countryside & public footpaths allowing direct access to stunning Cotswolds scenery. The local pub 'The Golden Ball' is within 100 meters away - a little country pub serving traditional hearty food….fabulous! Dogs are permitted with prior approval. A maximum of two dogs. Strictly no unneutered male dogs accepted. Our cottage is available for families and couples. Tesco supermarket is just 1.3 miles away and there’s a co-op convenience store in Stow.
