To the rear of the cottage nestled in a private courtyard is a delightful patio garden with blooming plants and comfortable furniture, and a luxurious and inviting hot tub ensuring everyone will be delighted with their stay. However, we do restrict hot tub use to the hours of 09:00-22:00 as we want to respect our neighbours, so if you’re thinking of ‘all night’ hot tub parties with lots of loud music, I’m afraid this cottage is not the place for you! In 2019 this property was thoughtfully renovated and beautifully decorated. A stone-built semi-detached cottage dating back to the 18th Century, that provides outstanding accommodation for up to four people. This Peak District Cottage has a cosy and relaxing lounge with seating around the wood burner, and a well-equipped kitchen and dining room. There are two beautiful and tranquil bedrooms ensuring a truly restful night's sleep. There is a stylish bistro set at the front of the cottage enabling you to watch the world go by while enjoying the country views over a morning coffee. Alton Towers, Matlock Farm Park, Chatsworth House and Kedleston Hall are all a short drive away, as are pretty Matlock Bath, Wirksworth, Ashbourne, Bakewell and Buxton Guest access We are dog friendly but do charge a one-off cleaning fee of £25.00 per two dogs so don’t forget to add your dog/s to your booking. To make your stay even easier, we’ve partnered with Rover to offer reliable dog sitting, and other dog services while you’re with us. Other things to note The layout of these 18th century cottages when they were built were such that our neighbours at ‘Hope Cottage’ own and have access to, the fenced off area of the rear garden, and they also have a right of access down the path at the side of the house. We do ask that guests ensure that all pathways are kept clear of any obstructions.
