Boot and Shoe is beautifully situated on the banks of the river Tees, 5 miles from Barnard Castle in the pretty hamlet of Wycliffe. Outdoors an abundance of wildlife, river swimming, tennis court and private fishing; indoors cosy wood stoves and all mod cons. Ideal for visiting historic Raby Castle, Auckland Palace and Durham City and the wilds of upper Teesdale and the Yorkshire dales. The space Boot and Shoe, once a cobblers and a pub, is an idyllic retreat on the river Tees. Relax by watching the river flow by - an ever changing view, cosy up next to the wood stoves, raid the library and toy cupboard or head out for a bracing walk in unspoilt Teesdale. Swim in the river next to the cottage and play tennis on our court, available for guests' use. Parking for 2 cars and EV charger Other things to note The twin is attic-style suitable for 1 adult or 2 children, with one standard single and one small (2'6") single bed and limited headroom. There is a shower and loo on the ground floor, and a bathroom with loo on the first floor. Sorry, no pets.
