2ish bedrooms 2 bathrooms + breakfast Nr Newcastle

I want to welcome people and their dogs to our home in the village of Rowlands Gill just 8 miles from the centre of Newcastle. I have 2 bright, spacious bedrooms with 2 shower rooms. A complimentary continental breakfast is available in the second bedroom. This room has huge windows looking onto our wood. There are no curtains but it isn’t overlooked. However it can be bright early on summer mornings. The beds are partly separated from the seating by a screen. Many birds and mammals can be seen The space Bedroom one can be set up for 2 to 4 adults or for 2 adults with up to 3 children. There is an en-suite shower room. Bedroom two has 2 single beds and also contains a seating area, dining table and chairs, fridge, kettle, microwave and toaster. Please note there is NO HOB OR OVEN though I am happy to cook things for guests in my own oven if I’m home. This bedroom has a shower room just across the landing. None of these rooms are shared with any other guests. All doors have locks and keys. If more than 3 adults are sharing the extra shower room is available to avoid queues. There is a lot of space in these rooms and great views from all windows. The surrounding countryside has many beauty spots and lots of opportunities for walking and cycling. Bikes can be kept in the garage or inside the house. The Living Museum of the North is 4.6 miles away and Durham 12 miles. Hadrian’s Wall and Kielder Reservoir are well within reach for day trips by car. The north east has huge numbers of attractions. The Sage Gateshead and The Arena Newcastle are large music venues. The village also has a tea shop, a sandwich shop, a newsagent and a hairdresser all within a short walk and there are various takeaways nearby. There is a children's playground, a chip shop and a riverside field for picnics and ball games. Gibside Chapel and Pleasure Grounds are in the village and lots of other National Trust properties are a short drive away. There is a microwave, small fridge, a toaster, a kettle, crockery and cutlery. During your stay I will be at home and available most of the time but guests will have keys to the house and their bedrooms and so are free to come and go as they please. There is also a key safe which we can use as necessary. I’m available to contact by phone at all times. Other things to note The house is situated in a wild nature garden. Some of the paths are very slippy even when dry so at the moment there is no guest access to the gardens. My dogs Nancy, Gina and Piper live with me in a separate part of the house. They don’t go into the guest accommodation. Guests will hear them occasionally but won’t meet them unless they want to. The bottom 2 steps of the staircase have no handrail.
