Palala River Cottage - the perfect bush hideaway

Wake up to tranquil peaceful bliss, impala grazing outside your door and warthogs looking to see if you left any water in the outdoor shower. Located inside a game reserve free of big 5 animals, the bush can be enjoyed on foot, by bicycle or from the comfort of your car. River Cottage, is a secluded romantic stone cottage with a thatch roof. Set in beautiful bush and game surrounds, this idyllic spot is located right on the Palala Riverbank. Popular for anniversaries. The space There are two outdoor areas, outside the lounge is a table and chairs and hammocks under a deck, a few steps away is built braai area next to the river. There is an outdoor hot and cold water shower behind the house in the midst of the bush, wonderfully refreshing. The stone cottage has bedroom, bathroom (bath and shower) lounge with fireplace and sleeper couch, a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, stove, oven, toaster and filter coffee maker. Perfect for a couple, or with kids on the sleeper couch. Guest access As guests you have full exclusive use to this cottage, a private entrance from the gate brings you through the game reserve to your cottage, you need not see another human being if you do not wish to. Other things to note As the cottage is located within a game reserve that excludes big 5 game our guests can roam around, but at their own risk, an indemnity form will need to be signed. The river is not suitable for swimming as the reserve does have crocodiles. They don’t disturb our guests, but swimming would be a bad idea.
