Escape to our Colorado cabin and create unforgettable memories in this picturesque mountain setting. We look forward to hosting you soon! The space This cozy retreat features three bedrooms, two of which have comfortable queen-size beds, while the third bedroom offers a new high-end sofa sleeper. The cabin also includes a well-appointed bathroom and a wood-burning stove with central heating for your comfort. Enjoy the modern amenities provided, including high-speed WiFi internet, cable with Netflix, surround sound stereo, and a DVD player. The upgraded appliances in the fully equipped kitchen make meal preparation a breeze, and a gas barbecue is available for outdoor cooking. For your convenience, the cabin is equipped with a new washer and dryer. The master bedroom is tastefully furnished and features a doctor's choice mattress and upgraded bedding, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Start your day by sipping your morning coffee on the deck, while marveling at the wildlife in your own private back yard. The cabin property is bordered by the National Forest, providing easy access to hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing adventures. For downhill skiing enthusiasts, Eldora Ski Resort is only a 15-minute drive away, offering both Alpine and Nordic skiing options. In the nearby area, you'll find a variety of attractions to explore. Try your luck at the casinos, relax at a spa, indulge in delicious meals at local restaurants, or stock up on groceries at the nearby store. The newly built Gilpin Co recreation center offers a lap pool, a separate kids pool with a water slide, a fitness area, and a skating pond. For a fun evening out, visit "Roy's Last Shot," a bar and restaurant located just one mile from the cabin. They offer an extensive menu, pool tables, an outdoor deck, and a friendly atmosphere that welcomes both kids and dogs. Next door to Roy's, you'll find Mid County Liquors for your beverage needs. Surrounded by breathtaking views and adjacent to the national forest, our cabin provides the perfect escape. Explore nearby towns such as Rollinsville, located about four miles away, or venture further to Black Hawk and Central City, approximately 15 miles away. For a day trip, consider visiting Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park, which are approximately 60 miles from the cabin. If you're seeking an adrenaline rush, whitewater rafting in Idaho Springs is just a 30-minute drive away. Guest access Welcome to Dancin’ Bear Cabin We hope you have a safe and enjoyable trip and are ready to relax and unwind. Feel free to call for directions and or advice. Here are some of the basic rules and information needed. Entry: The front door has an electronic touch lock used with your cell phone, or normal key in lockbox. The electronic key will be emailed to you from Kevo. If for some reason that doesn't work. The lockbox code is 0498, on the left side of the front door. When leaving, please always close and lock the door. Heat and Fireplace Stove: Once inside turn the thermostat up to a comfortable level, as it should be turned down between guests. The thermostat for the furnace is on the wall near the dining table. If you wish to start a fire in the wood burner stove, everything is provided including fire starters. Leave the stove door ajar when first starting. Once the logs catch and you have a good flame and draft, close the door and adjust the damper as preferred. Please keep doors and windows closed if the furnace is running. Kindly turn down the thermostat to 50 on departure. Wi-Fi, Phone, and TV: Chances are your cell phone won't work unless it is AT&T. A Voice Over Internet phone is provided at the cabin. When the internet service is down so is the phone. The code for Orbi34 Wi-Fi is icysky597. Rise Broadband Internet service is somewhat reliable, however if there is storm or other issues there is a chance that it may be down temporarily. If you have any questions, you are welcome to call me. To use the entertainment center and Samsung SMART TV utilize 3 remotes located in the cabinet. One is for DISH TV, the Sony one operates the DVD disk player, which also gives internet streaming access to Netflix, Pandora…The TV video selection must be set on HDMI 2 to watch DISH TV cable channels. To watch or stream internet channels and music, select HDMI 1 Satellite on the TV video choices, turn on the Smart Sony DVD player and remote, push home and follow instructions and make your choices. Grocery Stores: Tygart’s gas and convenience store is about 3 miles away on Hwy 119, Rollinsville has some very limited shops 4 miles away. Nederland 10 miles has a complete grocery market with many shops and restaurants. Casino’s, Restaurants, and Shops Central City and Black Hawk casinos are about 10 miles away. Roy’s Last Shot Bar and Grill is about 1 mile from the cabin. The Stage Stop Bar of Rollinsville is 4 miles close to historic Moffat Tunnel. Nederland 10 miles with numerous restaurants and shops. Skiing: Eldora Ski Area and Resort is a 14-mile drive to the lifts. Other Colorado ski resorts are hours away. Closing April 22nd. White Water Rafting and Zip Lines: Nearest companies are located in the Idaho Spring area. A 30 + minuet drive. Hiking, Snowshoeing, Mountain Biking: Just outside the door is Roosevelt National Forest. Many trails are right behind the cabin. One hike would be suitable for young kids at just over a mile round trip. Gear: Behind the cabin is a shed containing lawn chairs, a picnic basket, snow shoes, trekking poles, and other things that you might want for your stay. Use the code (moose) provided to open the lock. Those of you traveling with infant children, also provided is a pack-n-play crib along with a baby backpack to make hiking with a toddler more enjoyable. KEEP in mind that the cabin is not child proof and kids should be supervised when outdoors. Between the shed and garage is the "Cub House". Feel free to let you children play in it. Horse shoe pit is also behind the house. A gas grill is on the front porch with extra tanks inside the tan storage box. Do not replace the cover on a hot or warm grill. Outside Fire Pit A fire pit is provided behind the house. Fires are permitted only when Gilpin County has No Fire Bans. No open fires during fire bans. Call Gilpin County Sheriff. Additional fire bans enforced by the National Forest Service may also apply. Fires are only permitted in the designated fire pit and must be attended at all times. All fires must be fully extinguished after use. Guest who use the fire pit, assume all related responsibilities in doing so. DO NOT use any fire wood provided. You must find, gather and provide other wood for outdoor use. Cut wood provided is for the wood burning fireplace only. Pets If you have brought your pre-approved dog, make sure to keep that dog off the furniture. Pet owners assume full responsibility for their dog. Keep the dog under full control at all times. Clean up after your dog. Always be aware of local wildlife, especially Moose and Bears that frequent the area. Only pre-approved dogs are authorized pets to be on property. Dog Fees Apply. Washer/DryerDishwasher: You'll find the washer/dryer in the green bedroom. Please do not use the washer when showering or use the dishwasher, washer, or shower at the same time. That can cause an electric overload on the well pump. One at a time please. The front-loading washer takes detergent pods that are provided in the dresser next to the washer. Place the detergent pods directly into the washer drum. Please make sure to clean out the lint trap with every use of the dryer. Departure Check out is 11:00 AM. Please place your trash into the large black trash bags provided and put the bagged trash and only bagged trash into the bear proof dumpster near the garage. Turn off all lights and electrical appliances, close and lock all doors and windows. If you can please set the heat back down to 50 degrees, and load and start the dishwasher. Return and lock the paddle lock for the sliding door. Make sure the exit door is locked and secured. Please be advised there are outdoor security cameras. Be aware that unauthorized guests and pets are subject to additional fees. No Guests of Guest permitted. No Party's or Events.
