Room to park camper or trailer. But no hookups. The cabin has a tin roof, cedar siding, pine floors on the main living level and pine doors throughout. The stone wood burning fireplace is the focal point of the living room with comfortable leather sofa, chair, and ottoman. The kitchen is furnished with plenty of dishes, flat ware, pots, pans, utensils, small appliances, mixer, waffle iron, toaster, coffee maker, full size refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, and microwave There is room for bikes or bicycles under the front porch. The garage is being used as a “hangout" spot/board game room/ man cave with sleeper sofa, recliner & futon couch & chair. This cabin is the place for you if you want a break from the city noise and a place to social distance with out being too far from society. It is a great place to relax and connect or reconnect with your family or friends and the perfect location when attending weddings or other events in Dahlonega (especially at Montaluce Winery, Vezalay, Juliette Chapel, Forrest Hills, etc.) Unlike most cabins, we now allow a 30 day stay, but also extend if available. The cabin is absolutely one of the closest rentals to Montaluce Winery . We have had many wedding guests book our property. Montaluce Mountain Cabin is located on a 1 acre wooded lot on a paved traveled road. It is in a convenient location, only 5 miles to downtown Dahlonega and 1/2 mile from the entrance to Montaluce Winery. The area is wooded and quiet, as our property is bordered by land owned by the winery. The border to the national forest is also just up the road. The Blue Ridge Mountains are visible from 3 sides of the house, but the view depends on the season and leaves on the trees. You can sit, or swing on the front porch or deck and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and the fresh mountain air. Enjoy the fireplace in the winter, enjoy movies, read, play board games, grill out, or plan outings in Dahlonega or nearby towns such as Helen, Cleveland, Ellijay, or Dawsonville. Please see my guidebook on this listing. The cabin is available year round on weekdays, weekends, and holidays for one night or for extended stays. It is very easy to find using our directions or GPS, 1/2 mile past Montaluce Winery. There is a Red reflector at the end of the driveway but no mailbox. The driveway before mine has a green address marker. The driveway past my house has a wooden fence with amber lights and the land is flat. Solar path lights & red reflectors line my drive & gravel drive goes around back of cabin & leads to the side deck for a handicap or wheelchair accessible entrance. The gravel area next to the deck is the most convenient place to park for unloading or loading your luggage or groceries. The deck with no step access from the upper driveway is at the French doors leading into the kitchen &main living level. This is where I like to enter and park. Plenty of room for parking & turning around for multiple cars. Mama"s Taxi will gladly pick you up on this side of the house. I suggest you make reservations when you book my cabin for availability. Mama’s Taxi located in Dahlonega can bring you to or from the cabin They can also be reserved for winery hops and larger groups. You can reserve a driver or can be dropped out & picked up. I suggest you contact them at the time of booking my cabin to reserve their availability. taxes & fees paid prior to arrival and are included by Airbnb when booking, & are required by the state of Georgia and Lumpkin county.This may be verified with Airbnb. The required taxes are 12% Georgia State tax and 5% Lumpkin County Occupancy tax. My required business license is displayed on the kitchen wall. I am also a member of the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber of Commerce. Please DO NOT LOCK basement Bedroom door, but shut it when you leave. Please DO NOT LOCK the door leading from living room to downstairs, but also shut it when you leave. Make sure commode is not running during stay & before you leave. You will run out of water if commode is left running. Can run the well dry and ruin pump. We have a (2017) 50 gallon hot water heater, but with multiple guests, it is best not to all take long showers. To divert water from tub to shower pull disc on water spicket down. No smoking, No illegal drugs, No PETS, No HIGH HEEL SHOES (spikes ruins and dents pine flooring)! Request that outdoor shoes not be worn inside house. Pets may be boarded at Rock House Groom and Board, just off the town square, 365 days a year. They are very affordable and friendly. They will meet you anytime. See their web site and tell them I referred you. We have boarded and used their services for our own dog. Please remove your shoes at the door due to Covid 19 & also to keep the floors clean. No parties (without my prior permission) The neighbors must be respected. No extra guests not claimed at time of booking without my awareness and permission. You may call at any time prior to or during your stay for additions. There are many places to go, activities, & things to do in or near Dahlonega, some suggestions include: Hiking, tubing, bike riding, fishing, golf, Dahlonega Gold Museum- The old Courthouse on the Square, Amicalola Falls State Park, University of North Georgia, Racing Museum in Dawsonville, Baby Land General Hospital (Cabbage Patch Dolls) in Cleveland, Alpine German Village & Oktoberfest in Helen, shopping on the square in Dahlonega and at the North Georgia Premium Outlet Mall in Dawsonville , Camp Frank D. Merrill-Army Ranger Camp (military ID required), North Georgia Zoo, panning for gold and gems at Crisson Mine, 100 gap bicycle race, local festivals, and many more adventures!
