The suite also includes a private bathroom with a shower. The design and windows provide natural light and a cozy ambiance, perfect for relaxing. Guest access Antico Feudo San Giorgio, in the center of the beautiful Sicilian island, in a hilly position, halfway between the two main Sicilian cities, Palermo and Catania, takes the visitor to a dimension outside of time and space. The Antico Feudo San Giorgio has practically unlimited space. Winter is usually harsh, sometimes with snow. During the rest of the seasons, the outdoors can be enjoyed more due to the more favorable temperatures. The agricultural property covers more than 200 hectares. At the heart of the crops is the former farm center, now converted into a complex of rooms, suites, apartments, common areas, on three levels, without an elevator. SWIMMING POOL Below the main house, in a secluded position, you’ll find a large pool (16x8m), with a solarium equipped with sun loungers, showers and pergola. Note that the pool is shared with the other guests. PLAY AREA For children, there’s an outdoor play area with Wendy house, swings, slides, hopscotch and basketball hoops, whilst indoors there’s a play room equipped with table football, a table tennis table and widescreen TV. TERRACE Furnished with chairs and tables so that you can relax in comfort, the 60 m terrace, where you can enjoy a tasty aperitif accompanied by a glass of our organic Syrah, offers stunning views of the Madonie countryside and its well-kept little towns and villages. RESTAURANT In the buildings which were once the wood store and carriage house, with stone arches and wooden ceilings, you’ll find our welcoming restaurant, which is able to cater for events of more than 150 guests. Other things to note Antico Feudo San Giorgio is an authentic, family-run holiday farm: a welcoming atmosphere, good food and unspoilt countryside make it ideal for families or groups of friends in search of relaxation, school groups interested in farm-based education activities, and also couples and tourists interested in exploring Sicily off the beaten track. Giancorrado and Fabiola, owners and managers of Feudo San Giorgio, started renovating the 18th century complex in August 1999, keeping the original farming activities going, but transferring them to sheds located beyond the manor house walls. The first tourist season began in 2003, when the restoration of the left wing of the manor house was completed. On its working farm, Feudo San Giorgio offers guests young and old a chance to get back in touch with nature and animals: in different areas of the farm you can see Marche cows, Ragusan donkeys, sheep and hens, all reared with a respect for nature and animal welfare. Spending time in an unspoiled rural setting, you can rediscover the forgotten rhythms of nature. At the Feudo you can throw yourself into agricultural activities, taking time out from the chaos of modern life, with the additional benefit of helping younger visitors to learn. HARVEST In the first half of July, when the crops are ripe and beginning to bend beneath their own weight, our wheat and barley are harvested. TOMATOES During August, we pick our tomatoes and at the beginning of September we make sauces and bottle them to use during the winter. GRAPE HARVEST September and October are the months dedicated to harvesting the grapes from our vineyards, with which we produce the Feudo’s organic wine. OLIVES In November, the olives are picked to make our extra-virgin olive oil, a process which requires great care and attention. Registration Details IT082058B5WZWPZTT4
