Description

Welcome to Frosta, a pearl of the Trondheim fjord! Other things to note The cabin is facing south with sun from early morning to late night Peaceful and sheltered area. Here you can find tranquility by enjoying bird chirping and sunrise in the early morning, or the silence and beautiful sunsets from the terrace on late summer evenings. Very nice to swim from the rocks or the beachfront. Sand bottom. It's also nice here on cold autumn and winter days The cabin has a heat pump and wood stove. Walking distance from the cabin is Arntzen Bakery where you can buy freshly baked bread or something good for the coffee and Viken Gartneri where in the sale you can buy salads, vegetables, herbs, juices, berries etc. self service. In the center of Frosta there are several shops, the supermarkets also have open on Sundays. Many hiking possibilities, including the nice Frostastien. Also within a short walking distance of the cottage is the Level Sports Centre, a gym where you can buy a day or a week pass. In winter time there are nice cross country ski tracks here as well as alpine slopes. Otherwise, anything Frosta has to offer. With its distinctive cultural landscape and climate, Frosta is perfect for activities such as hiking, cycling, fjord and freshwater fishing. Walk the Frostastien, experience the rich bird life of Tautra, visit one of the historical sights or stop at one of the farm shops; Frosta is known as Trondheim's vegetable garden – where a variety of high-quality vegetables and berries are grown. Strawberries and potatoes from Frosta are probably the best in the world! Visit some of the many farm shops to buy local, short-range berries/vegetables/herbs etc. Read more about these: GÅRDSUTSALG Around Frosta, there are several farm outlets that offer a range of locally made, fresh goods – preferably a little depending on what can be offered after the season. Feel free to combine a tour of Frosta to explore what the producers have to offer! * Stene Gård – Farm shop with meat products, fed by own animals on the farm. * The sisters Moksnes – Self-service 24-hour farm sale with the farm's own products such as potatoes, assorted vegetables and herbs. In addition, we have real farm eggs laid off the vegetable forums and pampered happy hens, and fruit like pears and plums after season. We also have self-made berry bushes and fruit trees – and not least mustard seeds and our trademark – our super good ramson salt for sale. * Tautra Staudegartneri – Self-service sale of self-made perennials, adapted to our climate. Cultivated outdoors. * Valberg Slektsgård - Self-service vegetable sale with seasonal vegetables from its own production and from surrounding farms on Frosta. Potato, carrot, onion, head cabbage, cauliflower, cucumber, and various salads. * Viken Garden – Sale of herbs and salad from its own production on the farm. * Viken Midtre – Self-service farm shop where we offer fresh farm eggs with sun yellow plum, potato, vegetables and berries every day all year long. The selection varies throughout, with berries from the farm's own berry garden – strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants, and morels. Self-made vegetables such as asparagus, sugar corn, iceberg lettuce, potato, carrot, cabbage and various varieties of pumpkins, as well as other fresh Frosta vegetables from good colleagues.  * Outer Viken Gartneri – Gardener with own flower shop. HISTORIC FROSTA Frosta has historical sights of national significance; Frostatinget – Norway's oldest court, Logtun medieval church and Tautra monastery ruins. In addition, there is a rock carving field at Evenhus with exciting mountain art from the older Bronze Age. WHAT'S HAPPENING?
