Description
An 1844 Sussex flint barn tastefully converted into 5 star luxury self catering holiday units. The Cart Shed (suitable for those with limited mobility) is furnished to the highest standard and is situated on a working farm in the heart of the South Downs National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The space The Cart Shed occupies the west end of the barn and is our only self catering cottage all on one level, making it suitable for those with limited mobility. The spacious sitting room with vaulted ceiling has a woodburning stove and a dining area seating eight. There are floor to ceiling windows along most of one side and French doors along the opposite side opening out onto the south facing patio and garden area with beautiful views across the farm and woodland beyond. Leading off the living room is a large well equipped kitchen and a second dining area. There are two twin/double bedrooms. One has twin beds (that can be made up as a super king-sized bed) with french doors leading on the garden area. This bedroom has an en-suite wet room with disabled facilities. The other bedroom has a king-sized bed with en-suite bathroom. Guest access All of the Cartshed Other things to note The area is ideal for walking or cycling through beautiful countryside teeming with deer, pheasants, kestrels and red kites. In the evening look out for badgers, tawny owls and pipistrelle bats From the top of the farm on a clear day there are stunning views of Chichester Harbour and the Isle of Wight. A footpath runs alongside the garden leading directly to the Hare & Hounds pub in the village of Stoughton, 15 minutes walk through scenic woodlands. A 20 minute walk in the opposite direction along a country lane and fields leads to The Barley Mow, a pub in the village of Walderton.
