Avondale House and Forest Park is on the doorstep. We are an hour from Dublin. If it's hiking/biking, shooting/fishing, golfing/kayaking, rock climbing/beaches, formal gardens/unspoilt nature, Historical houses or place everything is available to you. The Avonmore river is known World wide for it's fishing and kayaking. A short drive takes you to the Irish National Stud - Japanese Gardens. We have Mount Usher Gardens, Avoca (the Avoca Mines and Handweavers) endless golf clubs and lots more. The space Guests will be greeted on arrival. You will have unlimited access to the sitting/dining room. The open fire can be lit so you can relax in the evenings. Access to fridge, toaster,microwave tea and coffee making facilities. Continental breakfast provided. The bedrooms are bright colourful spaces. One double room has an ensuite and wardrobe. The other two rooms share the main bathroom . All bedroom doors have locks for privacy. There is an outside seating area. We have a secure space for bikes, golf clubs, kayaks etc. Guest access Guests have access to the sitting/dining room. We have an outside seating area and some swings and a slide for children to play on. During your stay We will be available to guests during their stay for any assistance we can offer. Packed lunches for day trips can be arranged for a small fee. We want people to make our home theirs during their stay and feel comfortable. We both play golf and love the outdoors. We are into nature and enjoying the world around us growing our own veggies and fruit. We hope people will be able to relax and have a good time. Other things to note For the bird lovers Red kites and Buzzards are regularly seen flying gracefully over the garden. The Avonmore river is a short walk from the house through Avondale House and Forest Park ideal for fishing and bird watching, Kingfishers are often seen and the Woodpeckers will scenario you on your walk. For people interested in trees there are some very unusual varieties of tree walks in Avondale House and Forest Park. Also the National Botanical Gardens at Kilmacurragh have amazing rare and unique shrubs and plants this is only 10 kilometers from the house.
