Welcome to Köpmanholm in the Stockholm archipelago and this 19th century boarding house. This old hotel building has undergone an extensive but gentle refurbishment and now can be rented for holidays, corporate events or family parties. You will heve the whole house for yourselves (with in total 21 beds) including the side building "1812 house" for dinner and entertaining. The space This is a house with room for many – with eight bedrooms, dining room, lounge, library and a veranda the house is suitable for groups up to 21 people. Two modern bathrooms, a large modern kitchen and new laundry room let you enjoy the historic atmosphere without compromising on comfort. The garden has large lawns with plenty of space for play and an exciting environment with stairs, trees, rocks, the old soldier's cottage - and the “1812 huouse” for dinner ans socilizing of course... All this creates a nice old-fashioned environment with many pleasant places to have your coffee or evening barbecue. The setting is magical, here at the Furusund Strait the big cruise ships majestically sail by and the view from the house is breathtaking. The house is located in the village Köpmanholm with the small supermarket/kiosk and the car ferry within sight. The house has a great history with interesting stories about the ship pilots in the 1800s, liquor smuggling during Prohibition period (“The smuggler king” Uno Osterman was born in this house) and the hotel era when the Stockholm nobility enjoyed the archipelago. The history has been observed and documented in the program series “Det sitter I väggarna” in Swedish Television. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire main building and to the "1812 house" (for dinner and socializing) Beds 8 bedrooms with 16 beds (of which 12 are double beds and 4 are single beds) and 5 extra beds that can be placed in the bedrooms, living room or library. There are duvets and pillows for all the beds in the house, but you must arrange bed linens. Toilet, shower and laundry Two bathrooms with toilet and shower. Laundry room with washing machine, dryer, ironing board and iron. Kitchen equipment Dishwasher, large and small fridge, freezer box, stovetop with four burners, hot-air oven, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, service for 20-25 people Dining areas In the hall, there is a large table with room for 14 people but with an extra table you easily arrange a long table for 20-25 people. On the glass veranda on the second floor, there is a table with room for 6 people. Technical Specifications Area approximately 250 sqm, direct-acting electricity with new radiators, cold and hot water, wireless internet, 40-inch TV (SVT1, SVT2, TV4, TV6). Parking In the gravel parking lot and driveway, there is room for up to 6 cars. Otherwise, there are places along the way down to the steamboat dock. Outside On the veranda facing the sea, there is a nice lounge group for 8-10 people as well as a large dining table with about 10 seats. At the back of the kitchen, there is a dining group for 5 people, excellent for breakfast. In the garden, there is a 4.2 meter rustic wooden table with two benches - here you can easily set the table for 20 people. On the porch of the cottage, with room for about 6 people, you can catch the evening sun for a long time. Large Weber gas grill. Play and sports equipment available: croquet, dartboard, badminton, net, Swedish kubb yard game, etc. Other things to note The host will send a document with general information and rules about the house.
