Description
The Château Lagrézette mill is a unique holiday resort in a sublime environment. At the foot of a pond where wild birds often land, the mill has an exceptional green setting. It is an ideal place for a serene, quiet stay, with family or friends, a timeless stopover for the holidays. The restaurant is superb with beautiful furniture and a very neat decoration. The space For the record, the mill dates from the 15th century: Adhémar de Massaut, the builder of Château Lagrézette, transformed the mill (probably a flour mill) into an "iron mill" to forge weapons. When Alain Dominique Perrin, former President of Cartier and then of the Richemont Group, and currently President of the Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art, acquired Château Lagrézette in 1980, the mill was in ruins. He decided to restore it with a subtle balance between the old and the contemporary. The restoration is superb with beautiful furniture and a very neat decoration. Alain Dominique Perrin wanted to preserve the mill of the time: the lock system that allows the stream to pass under the mill is in perfect condition. It is now stopped so as not to disturb the rest of our guests, but it can work perfectly. Only the grinding wheel has been removed to make a beautiful outdoor round table.
