Picture yourself in a very comfortable and exceptionally spacious en-suite bedroom with Super-King sized Hypnos bed, Egyptian cotton bedding and fluffy towels, in a quiet unique setting, minutes from Maidenhead town centre, with FREE Infinity WiFi and private parking. Having lived overseas for many years notably Africa and the Middle East our home is a reflection of many fascinating countries. The space Our home is is relaxed, clean and tidy, a genuine home from home, we enjoy it and hope you will enjoy it too! In addition to your own spacious 16sqm/172 sq ft Premier Super-King bedroom and large en-suite bathroom with: - Bath with Power Shower - 6' Foot Wide Bed with Hypnos Orthopedic Mattress - Freshly Laundered and Pressed Egyptian Cotton Sheets and Linen - Fluffy Egyptian Cotton Towels - Shampoo, Soaps and other Fine Luxury Amenities - Kettle with a selection of teas and coffees - Hairdryer - Trouser Press - Smart Television with Freeview and Netflix etc. - Help Yourself Breakfast - Free WiFi and Laptop Friendly Workspace - Free Off-road Parking - Free Help Yourself Continental Breakfast - this is available in the kitchen between six fifteen to nine thirty each morning, and can be enjoyed either in our relaxing dining room, or weather permitting, on our sunny South facing garden terrace. - A vast selection of complimentary Teas, Coffees and Hot Chocolate are available in the kitchen throughout your stay. For breakfast there is a choice of cereals and marmalade and preservers etc. in the cupboard which you may help yourself to and also a large variety of coffees, including fresh filtered coffee, our selection of teas including Herbals and hot chocolate. For toast we generally eat brown bread, but if you prefer white we can get some in...... We believe we have a warm, clean, unique relaxing home with character, somewhere to unwind; it is our intention to keep it that way. To retain our homes homely atmosphere, and for your own peace of mind, whilst we do have three further individual listings on Airbnb we rarely have all four listings occupied at the same time unless booked by a group. Subject to availability each of our bedrooms can be booked individually. **** You can find all our listings and availability on our very own listing page, by clicking on the profile image of me. Our adaptable flexible approach, coupled with our own and your own comfort and enjoyment, is always and will always remain forefront in our mind and will always be extremely important to us! Guest access As a guest in our home, to help make your stay as comfortable as possible, you would also have use of our kitchen, living room, separate dining room to work and/or relax with a meal. Plus there is Toby's Den and also our beautiful sunny secluded South facing garden with Braai (BBQ). You may also help yourself to tea, coffee and hot chocolate at any time of day and use our clean modern kitchen which has top of the range appliances including a microwave, washing machine and iron. During your stay Social, yet respecting other people's privacy too, we enjoy music, cooking in the kitchen or on the Braai (BBQ), travel, watching rugby and polo. Generally, either myself, or my adult son are on hand should you have any questions regarding the local area and/or we would all be more than happy to share a glass of wine or two. For your added convenience very reasonably priced, freshly prepared home cooked seasonal evening meals are also available by request. To help you keep track of your expenses, arrangements for additional payment for evening meals can either be made through the Airbnb Platform or directly while you are staying here, which ever you prefer. Other things to note We would like to think that you will feel comfortable in our home; a home away from home. But you should not just take our word for it, you should also read our reviews!! Also, if you have any questions or if it is just a few local tips you need for restaurants, shops, travel etc. just ask? If there is anything specific you’d like to make your stay more comfortable and/or you have forgotten something, please just let us know? We have electronic adaptors for the UK’s odd British plugs, hairdryers, umbrellas (which hopefully you won’t need), a colour printer, scanner and fax, Oyster cards that you can top up in London and also spare toothbrushes…… If it is swimming towels you after, we have them too, plus an enviable assortment of picnic boxes, cool boxes, ice bricks, Tupperware and special sets of picnic/office cutlery (which are not kept in the kitchen) to borrow and return. Without any exception please do not remove or borrow any of our kitchen cutlery or utensils. CORONAVIRUS UPDATE – 19th July 2021 STAYING ON THE SAFE SIDE! - "We're Good To Go" as certified by – The National Tourist Organisations of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. In response to COVID-19 having reviewed & restructured all our core values & facilities which guests have previously enjoyed, we will still be able to offer the same if not better level of service, while operating a new robust system that provides a safe environment for our guests. Please do take time to read the following which includes information regarding your stay and our COVID-19 Procedure. • Whilst currently not mandatory we do encourage guests to wear masks in all shared areas, particularly the kitchen or when socialising with other guests who you would not normally meet. • Complimentary masks, personal hand sanitisers and gloves are freely available to all guests. • Please DO use the automatic Hand Sanitiser stations which are available around our property. We would ask you as a guests to use these frequently i.e. before entering and leaving the property, also your bedroom, the bathrooms, living room, dining room and particularly the kitchen etc.. • Please do respect any social distancing guidelines which maybe in place during your stay and allow personal space for other guests who you would not normally meet. • Should you wish to use the kitchen facilities, please do request a fixed time slot, to allow for the kitchen facilities to be thoroughly cleaned both before and after your use. • We do support the NHS Test & Trace App and would ask guest to use this EACH DAY OF YOUR STAY, or provide full written contact details of both your locations before and after your stay. • Check-Out: please do leave your bedroom windows open so as to ensure good ventilation before cleaning. • If you or if you have been in contact with anyone in the 14 days prior to your stay who has symptoms of COVID-19, OR if either before, during or after your stay, you are showing any COVID-19 symptoms, you MUST let us know immediately and arrange for a COVID test. • In the interest of other guests, we will NOT accept guests who need to self-isolate. • In line with the current Government Policy “Guests with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 should return home to self-isolate” *** NB. Depending on the current COVID Government Restrictions and Government Guidelines for hospitality at the time of your stay, the above guidance are subject to change at any time. This was previously recommended under voluntary guidance, however since the 8th August 2020 this has now become mandatory. • Please do respect any social distancing guidelines which maybe in place during your stay. • Should you wish to use the kitchen facilities, as per Government Regulations please do request a fixed time slot, to allow for the kitchen facilities to be thoroughly cleaned both before and after your use. YOUR STAY: • Guests ARE still able to make use of our living room, dining room and garden weather permitting! • Complimentary Breakfast:- we have had to introduced individually packed picnic style / grab and go breakfasts which will be delivered to your bedroom door. Also tea and coffee making facilities are now available in your bedroom. Unfortunately, due to restrictions, for the time being we are unable to offer our very popular help yourself continental breakfast and fresh coffees and teas in the kitchen. However, should you need extra complimentary tea/coffee or milk for your bedroom, or before your stay, anything specific for your breakfast then please do not hesitate to ask? • To limit occupancy, unless booked as a group, a maximum of four guests will only be allowed at any one time. Only our Super-King Bedroom with en-suite private bathroom AND only 1 Standard Bedroom with adjacent private bathroom will be available each night. Bookings will be on a “first booked first reserved basis”, for example if our single bedroom is booked our other standard bedrooms will be blocked. NHS TEST AND TRACE: • If you have been in contact with anyone in the 14 days prior to your stay who has symptoms of COVID-19, OR if either before, during or after your stay, you are showing any COVID-19 symptoms, you MUST let us know immediately. • If you develop COVID-19 symptoms whilst staying here, you MUST arrange for a test immediately. You can order a test from the nhs.uk / coronavirus website or call 119. • If you are well enough to return home by private transportation then please do so and self-isolate at home. Do not use public transport. • If you are contacted by Test & Trace whilst staying here and/or up to 14 days after your stay, you MUST notify us immediately that you have been contacted by NHS Test and Trace and asked to self-isolate. • We do support the NHS Test and Trace program. We are therefore required to retain your name, phone number and check in and check out date etc after you leave.
