The refurbished farmhouse stands amid rolling farmland at the end of a tree lined gravel driveway on a hillside at Oldglass. The house is set in a traditional farm courtyard with limestone farm buildings which create a sheltered cluster that embraces a private landscaped paved patio. A walk through the table tennis barn leads to a sheltered deck, hot tub with chill couches, picnic table & BBQ An Art & Mindfulness day in a stunning art studio complete with lunch can be arranged by appointment The space The Farmhouse has been refurbished to a high standard. The ground floor is open plan with low ceilings in the kitchen and sitting areas (with original cast iron open fireplace) and complete with a spacious double height garden / dining area. The garden room looks directly onto the private patio which is set within the gravel and paved landscaped farm courtyard. The ground floor wc also accommodates the laundry. First floor is accessed via a feature winding beech staircase where two bedrooms share the shower room. both bedrooms are provided with king size beds whilst one of the bedrooms is also provided with an additional double bed. An additional en-suite double bedroom can be made available for guest accommodation in the host's home immediately adjacent to the farmhouse by prior arrangement for a modest additional cost. Guest access Ample car parking is available at the front courtyard. Oldglass is convenient to Abbeyleix, Portlaoise, Cashel and Kilkenny for browsing and shopping. For more active pursuits the Leafy Loops at Durrow, the Bog Walk at Abbeyleix, Grantstown Lake and the Sliabh Blooms offer varied and interesting nature walks. Guided walking treks can be provided on prior application Other things to note The Farmhouse shares the courtyard with the hosts Art Studio Different Art experiences can be provided to guests (at extra cost) during your time at Oldglass Art, Yoga & Mindfulness days complete with lunch are ideal for small groups of 4 (minimum) - 6 people and can be arranged by prior arrangement with Frankie Fun Art and Prosecco afternoon / evening experiences can also be provided by prior arrangement with Frankie The art experiences can be tailored to suit guest requirements If you require additional accommodation during your stay at Oldglass two additional bedrooms are available at the hosts home, immediately adjacent to the Farmhouse. Both bedrooms are provided with king size beds. One of the bedrooms includes an en-suite whilst the other bedroom has access to a private shower room (with wc) immediatey beside the bedroom
