Lovely Forest House with sauna, bathtub and large garden

Cozy and creative vacation cottage close to nature reserve De Maashorst, part of Familie Buitenhuys. The cottage is located at the back of a small holiday park, with a nice green garden and plenty of privacy. Inside, you will find, among other things, a claw-foot tub in the garden room, and outside, your own private sauna. Suitable for max. 4 adults + 1 baby, but best for one family (2 adults, 2 children + baby). The space ENTRANCE. You enter a small hallway with a cloakroom and toilet. From here, you enter the bright, open-plan living area overlooking the garden. LIVING ROOM Cozy sitting area with corner sofa and garden view. There is a smart TV, and under the couch you will find drawers with toys and books. The pellet stove is the heart of the room, with a nice sitting and playing area around it. KITCHEN & DINING AREA. Compact, functional kitchen with electric stove, fridge with freezer and dishwasher. There is a large dining table and a high chair (located in the closet in the bedroom). BEDROOMS. A cozy bed (160 × 200) that can be closed off with thick curtains. In addition, there is a separate bedroom with a double bed (140 × 200) and a high bed above it, only suitable for children. A baby cot is available. BATHROOM. Spacious bathroom with shower, vanity unit and washing machine. GARDEN ROOM & WELLNESS. In the garden room, there is a freestanding clawfoot tub overlooking the garden. In the back of the garden, you will find a private sauna with infrared heating in the small shed. BE AWARE The cottage has a fairly open layout and therefore little privacy. The bed alcove is closed off with curtains, the bathtub is open in the garden room, and between the shower (bathroom) and the toilet is a lowered, semi-transparent wall. This works great for families (from what we hear!); with 4 adults, it mainly depends on how comfortable you are with each other. Please keep this in mind when booking. GARDEN. Large, fully fenced garden with a fenced pond and views through the greenery of the surrounding countryside. A natural, quiet place with lots of birds. And occasionally a mole, and we let it stay here. MISCELLANEOUS. The cottage is located on the outskirts of the park and has been renovated by us with a lot of love. Not everything is sleek and perfectly finished; it is precisely that which gives the cottage its own character. NOTE: This cottage is IN NATURE. In certain seasons, this also includes insects, spiders and other small visitors. We do our best to keep them out. We do not control them with poison, but use natural resources where necessary. Guest access - All rooms in the cottage are accessible, except for one shed that we use as private storage (locked). - You reach the cottage via recreation park De Heidebloem and then drive on to our own park, Park Blokland. - During your stay, you can use the swimming pool and the large playground of De Heidebloem. Bikes are also available for rent at the reception. - For all questions, key issues or help regarding the cottage, you can contact us, not the reception of De Heidebloem. De Heidebloem is a separate park and cannot provide support in this regard. Other things to note - Open layout with little privacy; therefore not always ideal for 2 couples / 4 adults / groups of friends. Please read the description of the cottage carefully before booking. - No parties, events or gatherings. - Drug use and smoking are not allowed. - Dogs and other pets are not allowed. - Tents and BBQs in the garden are not allowed. - Only the number of guests booked is allowed; 5 adults are not allowed. - Respect for neighbors, peace and nature is important. - The cottage was largely renovated by us; imperfections are part of the style and atmosphere. For a reservation for 2 guests where both beds are used, we charge €12.50 for the extra laundry.
