Enjoy views of Saddleback Mountain from the private beach and dock; fish for trout or bass; or bring your boat and explore the island with its famous rope swing. Listen to the call of the loons, watch for bald eagles living on the island, and maybe if you’re lucky you’ll see a deer—or even a moose. Enjoy your stay at Sweetwater Cottage! The space Home available for weekly rentals (Sunday to Sunday) and long-term rentals. • The upper story has two bedrooms, with the master overlooking the field that leads down to the lake. The sunset views from this bedroom are quite stunning. • On the main level you will enjoy: o Galley kitchen: stocked with Keurig, microwave, stove with air fyer, and refrigerator. (Also in the kitchen is the hide-away ironing board.) Stainless steel four burner grill with side burner. o Two full bathrooms: newly renovated tub/shower combo o Separate pantry area: storage galore! Plenty of room for all of your groceries and other sundries. o Living room: the wood-burning rock fireplace is the heart of the home. The rocks in this fireplace were hand-gathered by Florence Jackson, the original homeowner, from all over the world. This fireplace is a place where travelers can gather to enjoy a peaceful fireside evening. • The lower level has its own separate entrance and patio, with two twin beds, pull out queen sofa and a private sink. Guest access o Parking for multiple cars available. o Ramp to front door for wheelchair, walker, stroller accessibility o Please park on the gravel parking area. Kindly do not drive on the field; the septic tank is buried there and will crack--and leak! Other things to note ACTIVIES ON THE PROPERTY & IN THE AREA o Enjoy the fire pit down by the lake and our relaxing hammock swings. o Fish from the dock and explore the lake, inlets, and maybe even find a beaver dame. o Hiking, biking, mountain biking, moose-watching o Guided nature tours are available from local companies o Fish for landlocked salmon, bass, trout, and pickerel, etc. during the summer, or try your hand at ice-fishing in the winter. o Fishing, hunting, trapping information (including information on the moose and deer lotteries)
