Description
Important! Please only book if: You have a small dog No smoking or fires allowed You are happy to WALK into the cabin from parking on the main road ( about 200 m) You are happy with a bedroom / living space with both beds in one room. ( single truckle & a double) If that’s ok read on! Our space is artistic and interesting, cosy with central heating. There is a veranda, seats and a garden area for sole use, but the cabin is very close to our house. Fantastic views, light, peaceful, quiet The space The cabin has a veranda to sit out on and a small garden area with benches and a portable mini charcoal fired bbq to use. It is delightful sitting out at night with the light and shadows. It overlooks the Nidderdale agricultural show ground which is open fields and mature trees. Often sheep are grazing and the light in the morning and evening is beautiful. You are very likely to hear owls hunting. The cabin is a ONE room studio which has a double bed, a single truckle bed underneath, a two seater sofa, dresser and cupboard. It is 14 metres square to give you an idea of the size. So for a couple this is an ideal cosy space. If more people stay there are compromises: If you have a small child the truckle bed can be pulled half way out from under the bed to make a small bed and can be left at floor level. We also can put a lovely sturdy travel cot in (4 foot long)so great for babies and toddlers. If the single bed needs to be fully pulled out we turn the sofa around and place across the end of the double bed. Facing the single bed it can still be used to watch tv but now the space is quite full. Please see pictures. The beds are obviously together in the studio room so you need to be happy to share closely. The shower, toilet and vanity sink are in a small room off the main room at one end of the space. At the other end is a kitchenette which opens directly into the main room.It has a microwave oven, double induction hob, mini fridge and pots and pans and basic condiments to cook with. There is a kettle , (teabags and sugar) , a few cooking basics and a toaster on the dresser. Cutlery and utensils are in the dresser drawer. There is a pine cupboard with various cleaning products, toilet paper, tea towels, first aid kit. Guest access Access to the property is along a gravel track. Guests must walk into the property. Cycles and motor bikes can be walked round and kept at the cabin. It is the last house at the end of the track and is a quiet spot. There is one step up onto the veranda and inside it is flat. From parking on the road it is a walk of about 200metres. If arriving at night you will need a torch as there is no lighting until you reach the cabin which has a sensor light. The track is an access path to neighbours’ parking and gardens so guests need to respect their land and keep to the middle of the track. Other things to note Our cabin is in our back garden in a quiet residential area approached by an access track around the back of the terrace. It is close to neighbours, so guests must be considerate. It’s not a place to party loudly! Please only bring small well behaved dogs (or cats!), as lots of barking would upset our neighbours. Please only walk down the middle of the access track as land either side is privately owned garden or parking.
