Ploughman’s Rest

The space The Ploughman’s Rest have 3 spacious bedrooms. Each room have 2 single beds that can be replaced with a king size bed if needed. The rooms are spacious enough for a third person to share comfortably. Each bedroom have their own en-suite bathroom with shower, basin and toilet. Two of these bathrooms have bathtubs too. Each room have an entrance from the veranda and an internal door leading to the lounge, dining room and kitchen. The bedrooms have coffee/ tea making facilities, hairdryers, usb charge plugs and ceiling fans. The kitchen is equiped with a fridge, microwave, crockery, cutlery and other electrical appliances such as a toaster. A lovely braai / boma area is available ouside. A television with full DSTV package is available in the lounge. Free wifi Guest access Easily accessible and Beautiful farmhouse - just of the main tarmac road (R36). The Ploughman’s Rest is situated on a working farm with arable land that is used for a variety of seasonal crops such as wheat, sugar beans and seed production maize. Guests can enjoy a well kept garden with a variety of birds and occasional visiting duiker or vervet monkeys. The property is suitable for walking or running. It is also at the start of a winding dirt road that takes you all the way to Pelgrimsrest or Bourkes’ Luck Potholes (40km). Theses places are ofcourse also accessible using the main Panorama tarmac route. During your stay I will welcome guests on arrival to show them around and enquire about their specific needs during their stay. I was born and raised on a farm in the Ohrigstad valley and have insight into the history and development af this agricultural area of South Africa. I live 3 minutes drive from where the guests are - so will leave them to relax on the veranda and enjoy the tranquil garden. I will be around on a daily basis and if meals were requested, it will be my pleasure to prepare the meals for you. Other things to note A light self-help breakfast is included in the rate. It consists of coffee, tea, toast, fruit, cereal & yogurt. A farmer’s breakfast can be pre booked at R100 per person. Dinner can be pre booked at R200 per person.
