A classic seaside bungalow in beautiful Blakeney

Classic 1970's seaside bungalow 10 minutes walk from Blakeney quay, shops and pubs. Large south-facing rear garden, with patio , barbeque and conservatory. The house is simple and a 'work-in-progress' at present, but is light, comfortable, and cosy. New beds, new hot water/heating system/shower and a wood-burner. Good wi-fi. Family and dog friendly, with great inland walks and the seaside to enjoy. Easily accessible, with off-street parking for three cars. The space The house is a typical small family bungalow from the 1970’s, which we are slowly doing-up. So some things are old, some are new. The living room has a big sofa, TV and DVD and a large woodburner. There is reliably good internet/wifi (&various cables for connecting laptop etc to TV). There are two bedrooms with double beds, one with an en suite shower room, and a slightly more separate bedroom with two singles, which is quieter and great for kids (or anyone else who fancies an early night or late morning). Both double bed mattresses are firm (traditional pocket-sprung mattresses), so if you like soft you may find them not to your taste. The two singles are standard Ikea. Please note that we provide bedding (single duvets and pillows), but not linen or towels/kitchen towels, and there is, as yet, no clothes washing machine or drier (if you can, bring some beach towels as well). Comfortable bath, albeit in pale magnolia, with tiles to match... (NB there is no shower in the bathroom, just a bath, and no bath in the shower room/ en-suite). Both have electric towels rads. The kitchen is unreconstructed 1980's style but works OK, with double oven, ceramic hob and new microwave, dishwasher, small fridge and Nespresso machine. We have a decent selection of pans and implements so you can cook if you want. We don’t provide food storage cupboards (as guests have tended to leave food - which then has to be thrown away), but there is plenty of counter space if you enjoy cooking. Off the kitchen is the dining area that seats 6 comfortably. There is a trip-trapp high chair. At the back of the house the conservatory looks out over the garden, with doors out to the patio and a long table and benches that sits 8-10. The patio has a bench and outside chairs and a barbeque. There is an outside sofa, but you need to take out/ put away the cushions which are not waterproof (stored in the greenhouse at present!) There is a basic cold wash down shower outside, and an outside drying/drip space under cover. Guest access There is easy off street parking and the village centre, bus stops and sea are a short walk. Other things to note Friday changeover day works best for us - as cleaning is usually on Fridays. So we prefer if stays don’t go across Fridays (unless for an agreed longer booking) - but please ask us if you’re not sure.
