The space A bright and spacious double bedroom is offered in a modern, Edwardian style house with large rooms and high ceilings. The room, which is quiet and overlooking the garden, is adjacent to your own private bath/shower room. Included is usage of toiletries, a hairdryer and HD TV with DVD player. You are welcome to make yourself at home. There is a log burning open fire in a large sitting room, a dining room and study. Fibre broadband is available throughout the house. The south-east facing garden runs down to the river Stour with a small bridge over it to trees and wild flowers beyond. There is a lockable garage, with space for bikes, and off-road private parking. Breakfast is not provided but you are welcome to bring your own food to keep in a designated fridge. Alternatively, there is a tea room that serves breakfast from 10.30am or The Willows Farmshop a mile away. Rose House is situated at the edge of CAVENDISH, one of Suffolk’s prettiest villages in an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.’ A warm assembly of pinkly pleased thatched cottages cluster round a sloping, and much photographed, green and elegant 14th century church in a fairy tale setting of countryside. The characters from Lord of the Rings, like Bilbo and Frodo, seem more at place here than 21st century man! That said, there is a shop 3 minutes’ walk away and a pub on the green. (Check which nights there is food) The main room has 1 double bed suitable for 2 adults. For larger groups, there are 2 further double bedrooms at £50 per room. I shall send out a revised price for the additional single supplement fee, if required. Dogs are more than welcome to sleep in the kitchen or sitting room. Guest access You have a private room with great south – easterly garden views next to your own private bathroom containing bath and shower, plus full use of the house, including kitchen and reception rooms. You are welcome to help yourself to tea/coffee on arrival and use the garden & terrace on which to enjoy them. Check-in and check-out times are flexible. During your stay I am very familiar with the local area so happy to provide guidance as required, but also conscious of leaving you to enjoy your trip undisturbed! Other things to note Please note there is a stream at the end of the garden and fields beyond, so it is not fully child-proofed.
