A warm and bright house offers you the opportunity to escape to the hamlet of Berghe at an altitude of 870 m in a preserved nature. One hour from the Côte d'Azur, it is the perfect place to recharge and enjoy many activities. A timeless place in the Alpes d'Azur, silent, where contemplation and peace are essential. The space The accommodation offers 3 double bedrooms with private bathrooms on the ground floor and an attic bedroom with 4 single beds (which can be brought together to become a double bed) with bathroom. Upstairs is the living room, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, toilet and two balconies. A piano is at your disposal as well as an outdoor terrace with barbecue. The Mercantour National Park guarantees unspoiled nature, home to exceptional flora and fauna. Hikes are possible from the hamlet of Berghe, including 2 loops: The summit of Corvo with a duration of 4 hours and 670 m of elevation and the tour of Gauron with a duration of 5 hours and 770 m of elevation. You have at your disposal a library with hiking guides, books on fauna and flora, maps and various documents on activities to do in the surroundings. A wide choice of activities is available to you in this valley bordering Italy and the Mercantour Park: - For sports and thrill-seekers you can do canyoning, canoe rafting, paragliding, via ferata, horseback riding, mountain biking and of course hiking. - For those who prefer to visit and discover history and culture, you can discover the monastery of Saorge, the chapel of Notre Dame des Fontaine in La Brigue, the museum of wonders in Tende and stroll through the medieval villages. - For swimming, you can enjoy the lakes and rivers (20 min by car to the Bendola or 20 min walk to the waterfall) and the sea (1 hour by car). - A 4-seater infrared sauna is at your disposal with mountain views. Session: €10 per person with a minimum of 2 people. We will be happy to advise you further on site. Guest access Access to the entire accommodation with a shared terrace, sauna and free parking spaces. Other things to note To access the hamlet of Berghe you will have to drive on a narrow and winding mountain road for 5 km, which leads to a corner of paradise. This mountain road is on the mountainside and rises about 500 m in altitude between Fontan and Berghe. The higher you go, the more beautiful the view! The road is paved, there is no need for a 4x4, any type of car can go through. It is on a single lane with two-way traffic. There are no shops on site, it is a hamlet with 6 inhabitants year-round. The first shops are 20 min away by car.
