Comfortable Cottage on Horsehead Lake

Our cottage is a 1200sqft home fully renovated in 2018 sitting on over 300ft of lakefront! Includes private dock and sandy beach a short walk away with a fire pit, 4 kayaks and paddle board. The lake offers a quiet "no-wake" time until 11am. Multiple decks to enjoy sun or shade. Enjoy great local golf, restaurants and casinos. Or sit on the sandy beach a short walk away and watch bald eagles, blue herons, ducks and osprey. Fish, ski, paddle or relax. Must be 25 years old or older to book. The space This is a non-smoking cottage. Smoking allowed outside only. Good pan fishing and great bass fishing on the highly desirable 460 acre all sports HORSEHEAD LAKE. Lot size is a large 0.7 acres with lots of parking and green space for yard games. Lakeside bonfire pit to enjoy and watch the starlit nights as there is minimal light pollution in this secluded spot. Firewood is complimentary. Note: Mid June through August are weekly rentals only. Friday check in-check out. Also, lake is treated mid June and mid August for invasive aquatic plant life. Lake restrictions observed for up to 2 days. Some lake restrictions are isolated. Guest access Gas powered 14 ft aluminum fishing boat and a 20 ft Pontoon is available for rent. Kitchen is outfitted with dishwasher, electric stove, microwave, coffee pot, Keurig and normal pots, pans, plates and utensils. Gas outdoor grill. Washer and dryer helps on those longer stays. Cottage has softened water. Hike the Ferris State University Nature preserve 500ft from the back door. WiFi does not support online gaming or video calls. Other things to note This is our family cottage since 1966 so we can answer any questions about the lake. You will find weekdays are quiet with minimal boat traffic. Boat traffic increases when the "weekenders" arrive on Friday night. We are on a 120 acre section of the lake so typically pretty calm. There are two 17cuft refrigerators in the home to keep plenty of food and drinks cold. Bring your own coolers for the beach time. Please note there is a ‘no wake’ time from 7:30 pm to 11am. Highchair, child gate and bed gate available. Sorry-No Pets Allowed. July and August are weekly rentals Friday-Friday.
