Mechelen centre, room with private bathroom

Welcome. From your room (quite a few stairs up) you have a lovely view over the city. You have a bathroom next to your room where you can find clean towels, shampoo, hairdryer. You are welcome to prepare simple meals but please leave the kitchen the way you found it. Tourist tax of 5 euro per night is NOT included. The house is in the town center, so parking is expensive. Cheaper parking is Zandpoortvest (700m from the house). Free parking is at Douaneplein. (both on Google). The space The room is not large, but contains a desk and a double bed (not very wide though). A clothing rack and a closet to organize your clothes and stuff when staying longer. There is also a small fridge. As Mechelen is not far from Brussels and Antwerp you will find the touristguides 'Hidden secrets' for you to use to prepare your sightseeing trips. Guest access If you wish you have access to my kitchen to prepare simple meals. You are also welcome to use the spices available so no need to bring those. But please note the kitchen is part of my work/living area :) During your stay As I am retired, there is a certain amount of flexibility in checking in (during daytime). Just ask and I will see what I can do. You can almost always reach me fast via text or phonecall. Other things to note If you are on a bicycle, there is room in the hallway to store two bikes safely. Electric? You can charge your bike overnight should you need to.
