A cosy two bedroom cottage in a conservation area near Saffron Walden with an open fire and a beautiful, secluded garden. Tucked away on a quiet road, conveniently situated between London & Cambridge and within easy access of Stansted Airport. The space The house has a sitting room/dining area, kitchen and downstairs bathroom (bath with overhead shower). Upstairs are two double bedrooms - one with a standard 4ft 6 double, the other is a 4ft (small) double. It is a small house but with the use of the sofa bed in the sitting room you could squeeze 6 in for a couple of nights! In addition to the house there is a large, dry, empty shed which could be used for storage on request. In March 2026 the house got a new roof and extra insulation - so it is more cosy than ever before! PLEASE NOTE: There is a railway line which runs above the opposite side of the road. The garden is not overlooked by the railway line and the trains are not overly intrusive. The road itself is peaceful with very little through traffic. The house does have some low doorways and the shower over the bath has a low ceiling. Also the tread on the stairs are narrow. Please don't bump your head or fall down the stairs! Other things to note Please note that the price for 2 is based on sharing a bed. There is a one off surcharge of £25 when extra sets of linen/towels are required.
