Guest access Guests also have access to hot tubs, including a communal changing rooms (pus a private one) and showers. For an extra charge washing machine and dryer are also available. Fossatún Restaurant is open during main season for dinner and breakfast and coffee house menu during winter. Other things to note Check in at Fossatún in daylight and enjoy the surrounding and facilities on offer. Northern Lights viability depends on solar activity and cloud situation. Star bright high activity=good possibilities. Weather can change fast in Iceland. All main roads are kept open through winter but can close temporarily f.e. in a sudden blizzard. Snow does not come and stay as it also rains quite a lot during winter.
