Historic Old Sawmill Lodge

The Old Sawmill Lodge is located in the heart of the Scottish Borders’ town of Innerleithen. Built on the site of the Old Sawmill (still with its waterwheel) and adjacent to the mill lade (stream), this comfortable accommodation is surrounded by history and offers the perfect getaway. The retreat is ideal as a romantic hideaway or for cyclists, walkers and anglers. .....And Dogs are welcome. The space The Lodge is next door to our house and set within its own garden with shared drive access. The interiors are spacious and bright with contemporary open plan living. The ground floor consists of great living, dining, kitchen and bathroom accommodation, seamlessly flowing together. The clean, modern spaces have unique design features and are finished to a high standard throughout. The bedroom upstairs has a super-king bed, able to be 2 singles if required. Created to be cosy but practical, the room has a calming and relaxed feel. In the garden is the original stone built waterwheel house, now listed as a Scottish Historical Monument. Next to this stands the turbine shed, that provided the first electricity for the town and all are here to be explored further.
