Unique stay in the village chapel in Fochteloo

Welcome to the former village chapel in Fochteloo. Through the hall, you have access to the cozy living room and bedroom with sofa, dining table, sitting area, television and two double beds. The original church elements (pulpit, baptismal font, organ) are still present here. Through the hall, you can also reach the kitchen, with fridge and facilities for cooking. Behind the kitchen is the bathroom, with a shower and toilet. When the weather is nice, it is good to spend time in the backyard. The space The former reformed chapel dates back to 1895 and is a mix of old and new, although the atmosphere of the church still shines through because of the old elements and light. This place is particularly suitable for people looking for a simple but cozy location in a quiet area. Nature lovers can indulge themselves, with nature reserves such as the Fochteloerveen and the Drents Friese Wold within cycling distance. The two double beds can accommodate four guests. For example, two adults with children or multiple adults who are not very attached to their privacy (since both beds are in the same space). Behind the church is a spacious garden for you as a guest. You don't have to share this garden, but it is adjacent to our own garden. As a separation between them, there is a fully grown and a not yet fully grown hedge. In the garden there is a 4 person table + chairs. Please be aware that you are staying in an old building. Guest access You have the entire chapel at your disposal. In addition, there is an outdoor area right next to the chapel where there is a picnic table. We also have beach chairs behind the chapel in the shared garden.
